Daniel Crane is a cop that loves Christ. His wife Samantha is his rock and his inspiration. The two of them not only complement each other, they complete each other.
Daniel's partner, John Dannigan is a bit too cavalier at times but does love the Lord and attends church regularly with Daniel and Samantha.
John and Daniel try to show the love of Christ in their everyday walk in life, both on the job and off. They have known each other since boot camp and have served together ever since.
As cops it's sometimes difficult to maintain a positive outlook on life. They're dealt every negative aspect that life has to offer, even on the inside of the Thin Blue Line. As Christians they're even more scrutinized, not only on how they deal with others, but also how they deal with themselves.
It's exceptionally difficult to love others when everyone around them has nothing but contempt and hate for them, except for the few friends that they have on the inside of the Thin Blue Line.
Daniel will reach a crossroad of faith and mental stability. He will have to make serious choices about his faith in Christ, his career and most of all his marriage.
How they as Christians deal with the trials and tribulations of this life can best be told from a cop's perspective. Cops have a code, a brotherhood that no other person can understand. They call it the Thin Blue Line for a reason.
As Christians their stance in life is much the same. They can fold and not serve God, or they can take a stand and walk by faith. It's also a code and a brotherhood. A brotherhood of God's children. It can be equated as The Thin Blue Cross.
"For rulers are not a terror to good works but to evil...But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain." Romans 13: 3-4 KJV.
