Overview

Santa isn't always a saint...

Mystery sleuth Angie Amalfi's cousin, Richie Amalfi, and Homicide Inspector Paavo Smith's co-worker, Rebecca Mayfield, are the unlikely duo that star in this Christmas novella. When Santa Claus lies dead and flattened (as if he'd fallen from his sleigh) in the middle of a mall on Christmas Eve, Homicide Inspector Rebecca Mayfield is on the case. As she attempts to track down a van full of Santas creating havoc throughout San Francisco, a stranger pops up to help her solve the crime...and bring her some much-needed Christmas cheer.

This brief novella introduces a new mystery duo. Also look for their first full-length mystery novel, ONE O'CLOCK HUSTLE.

Rebecca is working on Christmas Eve trying to solve a murder. Richie comes into the station looking for 12 missing Santa's. Rebecca and Richie go looking for them but Rebecca is still thinking about the murder. Will he find the Santa and will she find the murder? Cute story of two single people on Cristmas.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. It is Christmas Eve and Inspector Rebecca Mayfield is on duty in the Homicide Division when a call comes in about a dead body in the parking lot of Stonestown Mall. The body is dressed in a Santa Claus suit and it appears that Santa may have fallen out of his sleigh while flying over the city. Meanwhile, Richie Amalfi has lost track of an Econoline van with twelve "important" people, also dressed as Santa. When he goes to the police station looking for help from his cousin's boyfriend, Paavo Smith, he only finds Rebecca. Richie's problem is how to get some help without giving out too much information. Rebecca's instincts tell her that the dead Santa and the missing Santas are somehow related, but how? Together with Richie, she runs all over San Francisco on Christmas Eve looking for the missing Santas and trying to figure out how they relate to the dead Santa. Will Rebecca and Richie be able to find the missing Santas? Will Rebecca be able to solve the mystery of the dead Santa? Are the two incidents related and if so, how? Can she get it all done in time for Christmas? This is a fast-paced story with great character development.
