Liked the San Antonio history as part of the story line. Characters and plot kept my interest. Read for my book club. Makes me want to read his nonfiction book....San Antonio Uncovered.

I truly enjoyed this book. As a Texan, the Alamo is near and dear to my heart. However, this book goes much deeper into San Antonio history/culture. It does this in such as way as to keep the readers interest. Taylor Nichols, the main character, is a regular guy with a passion for his cities history. His friends are a collection of characters who all share this passion. If you enjoy Baldacci's The Camel Club series, Dan Brown's fiction/history or Steve Berry's tales, you'll surely enjoy this treasure. Nice job! - Ken G.

Ok, it was like a fairy tale. Well, except for the kissing the frog part. I would have taken back a star if that happened.

How many mysteries can you read about a fabulous, history rich, Texas town without a dead body! This one is original and a real find. I hope Taylor and his Travis Club buddies appear in a sequel soon.

Taylor Nichols and his buddies aren't the most ambitious people around, but they do make a difference. They are The Travis Club. Living in San Antonio, Texas and loving the history of the city, Taylor begins to write books about the history of San Antonio.  He believes he's ready to move on to his next book when issues arise with his last one.  While trying to settle the dust on a couple of issues, more questions keep popping up and everyone is looking to Taylor for the answers. Does he have them?      If you love history as much as I do, this book will be right up your alley.  Mr. Rybczyk does a wonderful job of incorporating the historical information with the story.  I like that he patterned Taylor Nichols after himself. *smile*  The story in this book is a mystery you'll enjoy unraveling.      I did find one issue. Sorry Mr. R! There were several spots where seemingly whole pieces of text were repeated.       I gave this one 4 cheers out of 5 because of the repetitive pieces.   ~Copy of book provided by author in exchange for a fair review~

The Travis Club truly is the San Antonio Da Vinci Code. The facts and history of San Antonio are perfectly woven into a great mystery! It is the perfect mix of facts and fiction!! I also loved all of the characters in this book. Each one added depth and some humor. I felt like I knew them all personally by the end and they made me want to join the Travis Club.

I like reading authors John Grisham, James Rollins and Steve Barry. I enjoyed how Mark toss the story out like a scattered puzzle and put all the pieces together in the end. I would recommend this to a friend.
