I bought the book because there was a stated connection to Lizzie Borden and other female lumberjacks. Lizzie is a no show, and the Elizabeth Emerson mentioned is a post partum psychopath, and is related to Hannah. If you are looking to get some feedback on other cases you are out of luck. The cases are so far apart that it would strain your eyesight, (It's in large print), as well as your credulity. Having said that, if you want to get a good feel of frontier life in colonial times you could do a lot worse than read this book. While the prose is modern it does provide the reader with how the judicial system worked back then.
