Overview

Ronald Fino, one of the FBI's foremost undercover operatives, does not scare easily. That is why he's not afraid to name names in this undercover exposé. For years, Fino wanted to write about his experiences, but each time the FBI managed to stop him. Even requests from major authors like Tom Clancy were placed on old. Today, Ronald Fino is retired from his service to the FBI and is ready to tell his story. Because of his unique position as the son of a Mafia boss, Fino got to know the ins and outs of organized crime from the ground up. He learned how they control members of Congress and local officials as well as their ties to presidents, politicians, and law enforcement officials. But working to bring mob members to justice and exposing political corruption wasn't enough for Fino. He also managed to infiltrate the Russian Mafia, made underground contact with Muslim terrorists, and exposed illegal arms smugglers, child porn organizers, arcotics dealers, and international money launderers. It's all here. It's all true. And as Ronald Fino says, "It's not going away anytime soon."

It was a pleasure to read and I agree that it is a great book. The author lets us all feel the emotions that he encountered and goes the extra mile to explain what undercover life is really like. If you like spy and and espionage thrillers then this true account is a must. M. Duggan

One of the best books, I have read in a long time. If you want to read about a real undercover spy; This is for you. From the Italian Mob to the Russian Mafia - Terrorism - It covers it all, It wants to make you stand up and cheer. Those that are enemies of the American people are obviously going to pan it. Great Story

This is quite a book and after reading this story I feel compelled to review it. It points out just how corrupt many of our elected officials are. It starts out with the authors early life and how it was growing up with the mafia. Pointing out how the mob dominates labor union's and our daily life. Then how he went to work with the FBI to help in bring down the mobsters around the United States and Canada. I was shocked to see just how far the mafia will go in their pursuit of the all mighty dollar and they their corruption the hazardous waste industry. Toxic Waste sites such as the Love Canal in Niagara Falls New York as well at the Rose Chemical plant located in Holden, Kansas are examples that the author points out were major profit makers and are still leaking after all these years. His bio then takes the reader to corruption in the Justice Department and how the Former Attorney General of New York Dennis Vacco removed the Special agent in charge of the Buffalo, New York office and immediately after becoming he Attorney General he quickly rid crime fighter Ronald Goldstock from his position.  FBI stings were setup with the Author Ronald Fino recording top New York city Genovese mobsters as will as the head of the New Jersey boss of the DeCavalcante mafia family. John Riggi. His testimony proved vital for the fed and all were convicted. In fact when you look at his record, I do not see anywhere a losing case. After a stint at the FBI Academy his efforts were then used overseas going after the Russian mafia, arms smugglers and terrorism.   I am sure those mentioned in this book will not be happy about it and when try and find a way to strike back at Ronald Fino.  You have to read it.

Ron tells his story in a straightforward style, leaving no details to the imagination. This book is a heartfelt look into the bravery of a man who saw wrongs and made them right. He deserves all the respect and gratitude that will be gained from living a life well done. I loved his style and his emotions he displayed on every page of this thrilling book. C. Cady

Ronald Fino is someone who has gone the extra mile in going after the people who rob, threaten, look to destroy us and are hell bent on the destruction of the United States, Canada, Europe and basically all of us. Fino should be admired for his willing to stay the course even when he was faced with threats and the placing of himself in the path of danger. I am impressed with the amount of information the author has provided. Equally I like how Ronald Fino has fought corruption in our government and how the FBI and its Agents were always there for him. I give his book the highest rating. I do not like how some creep tried to use this rating system to try and trash this wonderful story. I have been taught to ignore jerks like the one who posted below and cowardly refused to post his name. I ask Barnes and Noble to remove people such as this and not allow them to try and lower reviews. D. Zelman

I am the co-author of MURDER IN MCHENRY and I know first-hand the devastating effects that the mob can have on society. I was more than interested to read the story of Ron Fino in his book THE TRIANGLE EXIT. This is a story of a man that grew up in a mafia family that could have made so much money by following his father’s footsteps. His father, Joe Fino, was a one-time boss of the Buffalo Family. Instead he chose to leverage his father’s connections to fight the mob as an FBI and CIA operative. Risking his life and almost blowing his cover more than a few times fighting against organized crime in the US was not enough for Ron Fino. He takes his fight against injustice across the globe taking on the likes of the Russian Mob. You will be intrigued by this US hero and wonder how one man can live so many lives. Get THE TRIANGLE EXIT, you will not be disappointed! Paul Scharff

This book is a must read. It takes you to a whole new world of mystery, corruption and intrigue. Ron Fino is a gutsy guy who could have followed in the family tradition but chose to exercise courage and integrity and follow a different path. The book is an excellent story of how life is in the undercover world. As a former police officer I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys true crime. I also resent the comment "Rat". There is a huge difference between RAT and honesty and integrity. Get the book!

This is a great story about a man who could have been rich but chose to defend the little guy and gal and take on the mafia. On top of all he did against the mafia, he continued his undercover work and took on Russian organized crime and arms smuggling. I recommend it and Ronald Fino should be commended for his fight against the evil forces looking to steal from the weak and needy. Janet Steinberg

For most of us who read spy novels they paint a picture of what really does not happen in the real world. The Triangle Exit is fantastic and Author Ronald Fino, places us the readers in his shoes with all the danger and treachery around him. I liked it or should I say; I liked it a lot.

I found reading this book to be a page turner from cover to cover. The author unveils shocking truths about domestic and global organized crime and corruption whose influence and actions affected and continue to affect even the lives of ordinary citizens, though unbeknown to them. His personal account is from the perspective of someone surrounded by these elements all of his life, and is therefore so much more than a just historical documentary. If you have an interest in the past and present inside stories of the corrupt influences and consequences of this element of our world, then you owe it to yourself to read Ronald Fino's compelling true story.
