This book is fantastic. The number and quality of pictures is amazing. I have had tanks for years, but I believe even someone with no experience can become a near pro in aquarium keeping just buy reading this book. What I like is that the book also includes quite a bit of information on growing plants in the aquarium which was an unexpected plus. I would say that the book is slightly dated though, as there are now better filters 'bio-wheel', and double and triple tube lights that the book doesn't mention. Still all you need though to set up an attractive aquarium.
