The Truth About Cats And Wolves: A Nocturne Falls Universe story by Kristen Painter, Alethea Kontis

Like many paranormals of Greek descent, Kai Xanthopoulos will not know her true nature until her young powers fully manifest. Unlike her parents--and much to the dismay of her stray cat best friend--Kai has chosen not to spend the rest of her life at the diner in Nocturne Falls. She takes a job at Delaney's Delectables instead, a decision that puts her directly in the path of a fugitive werewolf that could change her destiny...

Finn Kincaid is cursed. Literally. Accused of murdering his pack-brother, beaten and left for dead in the woods, he runs to Nocturne Falls to seek sanctuary with the one cousin who successfully got out of Tennessee: Ivy Merrow, the sheriff's wife. On his way there, he's drawn off course by a girl with no idea how much power she possesses, both within herself, and over him.

Together, Kai and Finn must find a way to break the curse and fight their fate, without destroying each other--and their future--in the process.

nocturne-falls, no-gratuitous-erotica, urban-fantasy, romance An excellent addition to the Nocturne Falls Universe, a place where it is Halloween every day, and the supernaturals are hiding in plain sight. This couple is on the younger side and each has some hurdles to overcome. The publisher's blurb gives clues but can't begin to prepare you for all the laughs and angst. No spoilers here, just go ahead and enjoy!

This companion book, placed in the Nocturne Falls world of Kristen Painter is truly enveloped in the world of Nocturne Falls. The author has integrated her story seamlessly so that it reads like an extention of the original books. A fun young adult story any age will enjoy.

Wow! So far, this is my favorite book in this new Nocturne Falls Universe. I just love this author and plan on looking up her other work. I would like to see another book in the future about Kai and Finn when they are older. I didn't think I would care for this because they are teenagers but it was superb for all ages. There was so much happening the whole time in the story. I thought the little twists were wonderful. And the thing that Kai turns out to be is so amazing. She could really be a badass. Please make this a series? They could always move to another town if it can't be Nocturne Falls Universe. Lol.
