God loves you and wants to have a relationship with you, but you have to decide if you want to know God and obey His Laws - He will not force Himself upon you. This book is about God; His character and attributes; His Son, Jesus Christ; What you can do to get to know Him; His Word, the Holy Bible; His Law, The Ten Commandments; Prayer.
It is also about getting 'Right' with God - Righteousness and about Trusting and Obeying God. We will also talk about Heaven and Hell, Sin and Satan, Judgment Day, what happens when we die, and why did God have to send His only Son, Jesus, to earth to live among us as a man? What prompted God to do that? Why did He feel it necessary? More importantly, what should you do with or about Jesus Christ? What about religion, how does that fit in? The book's title promises Joy and Peace - how does God factor into that discussion?
The target audience for this book is three groups of people:
1. You do not really know very much about God, but you know in your heart that God exists, you have questions and you are searching for answers. You have come to the right place and you will be made aware of additional resources by the end of this book.
2. You have been brought up with religious training, but you have doubts and questions. You want to know the Truth. You want to know what God wants from you and what He expects of you. You have come to the right place as well!
3. You consider yourself a Christian; you answered an altar-call or recited a prayer asking Jesus into your life, but it has not really led to a change and you have doubts about your conversion and salvation. By the time you finish reading this book, you will know where you stand with God and, if necessary, what you have to do to ensure you are 'right with God.'
About the Author
Hello! I am T. C. Maloney. My wife and I live near St. Louis, Missouri. We grew up in the area and went to high school together. We moved back a few years ago to be closer to family. We have previously lived in Chicago, the Norfolk, Virginia area, Gainesville, Florida and Gulf Shores, Alabama. We have children and grand-children in Florida, Chicago and here in St. Louis.
For most of my adult life I have served in the U.S. military, both in the Air Force and the Navy, which partially accounts for the many places we have lived. I ended my working career as an accountant. I am now retired.
The “Truth About Money: How to Find Joy and Peace" was originally published on Smashwords in 2015 and was followed by two more books; “The Truth About Natural Laws: How to Find Joy and Peace” and “The Truth About God: How to Find Joy and Peace.” Together these three make up a series entitled The Truth Trilogy. Currently “The Truth About Money, 2nd Edition” and “The Truth About Natural Laws, 2nd Edition” are published and available for your reading pleasure. My intention is to have “The Truth About God, 2nd Edition published by late 2020.
Way back in 2005, while taking care of my one year old grandson, I felt the call to write a book on personal finances. It took ten years to get that first book researched, written and published. The next two went much faster and both of them were published by mid-2017.
The Truth Trilogy books have a similar theme: That life is meant to be lived with Joy and Peace. These two elusive qualities can be found - can be made your own - by observing Truths that are intended to make life more Successful, Joyful and Peaceful. Take money, for example: almost everyone would agree that we need to live within our means, yet many of us do not and problems develop, sometimes very serious problems. “The Truth About Money” is the first of The Truth Trilogy precisely because everyone has at least some familiarity with money.
I would greatly appreciate your review of any or all of the books. Please feel free to review the book or get in touch with me at the website and let me know what you think of it.
It is my hope you enjoy the books and I look forward to your feedback and thoughts.
