The Truth Kills is an awesome book that mirrors the real lives of stealth transgender people The Truth Kills by Sean Lamont was really a great read! I wanted to teach Isaiha a lesson, I repeatedly cried over Kyla, and I'm waiting on the 2nd book so I can find out who the hater is. Most people don't understand what it is like to be a transgender person, be forced into hazardous situations, and have to pull yourself up to start a new life. The last thing you want is for unsavory people to return from the past just to destroy what you have suffered to build for yourself. Transgender people are often disowned by their cisgender families and create surrogate families with stronger bonds. This book really hit home because I haven't been in contact with one of my little sisters since 13 years ago(for similar reasons). I would die inside if I found out that something bad happened to her so I could relate to what Nicole was going through. Sean Lamont is a talented woman who wrote a wonderful book and even drew the cover art herself. Let's support her by buying her book in the paperback version and the Nook Book ebook version.
