This is a really helpful and resourceful book for the novice chef in home. It teaches you the fundamentals of healthier cooking without losing the taste you desire in your food. If you are like me I do not like food with no taste it makes it hard to stay on a diet. But when you have recipes that say compote or made with avocado you feel like you are not dieting. This book shows you portion control is tops where flavor should never be without. great book to have and share.

The author introduces the diet in weekly stages, which is appealing because most diets that I have experienced require at least a monthly dedication. The book begins by telling you how to repair, release and reignite your body by eating foods and exercising in ways to burn through calories and fat at a much faster rate. The recipes are easy to follow and some include photos. I would recommend reading this book.

I am going to get straight to the point that I am in no need of a fast metabolism (at this moment!). I already have one that was genetically gifted to me which I know is not the case with everyone, so when I dove into this book, I had people that did not have a fast metabolism in mind. This book is short, sweet and to the point of what kinds of meals you can make to jump start your metabolism. You don't need to fast to lose weight. I love cookbooks that give you all sorts of meal options because not everyone is the same. This one was informative, fun and had lots to choose from if you were trying to get more healthy but did not want to go the route of dieting sans food. Eat food and increase metabolism. What a great concept! I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my open and honest opinion.

This book, The Ultimate Fast Metabolism Diet Cookbook: Quick and Simple Recipes to Boost Your Metabolism and Lose Weight, is an awesome cook book.   Even if you are not trying to lose weight, I encourage you to get this book.   It has great recipes that are healthy, and delicious.   Also, it is quick and easy to turn to the recipe you want.   Overall, I love this cook book, and I will use it in the future.

I have a wide variety of cookbooks and was very happy to add this as a keeper after reading it what great ideas and appealing recipes. I have some health issues and I am always looking for ways to improve my health and learned some great tips, information and recipes in this book. The diet plans look simple but due to my health I will probably not follow them all the way but will incorporate some of the tips, and things I learned in the book into my everyday cooking. I would recommend this book to anyone looking to improve their metabolism as well as change some of their eating habits for an overall healthier lifestyle.

This book is great if you are looking to jump start your metabolism. It covers everything from breakfast to dinner with smoothies and snacks included. Gives you tips and tricks on how to stay on track even when you are dining out so you don't get off course. It includes sample workout routines to give you that extra boost. It is full of lots of educational information on what is the best key foods to use when you have a slower metabolism and how to keep working on a faster one . It also includes a sample menu plan and all the information needed to follow it. Anyone should be able to follow by with this book even a novice the instructions and recipes are clear and easy to follow.So if you are looking for that jumpstart to kick your metabolism into gear then i recommend this book to you.

I will have to say this is one best diet cookbooks I have ever read. The food recipes are just so easy and amazing. I have tried many of  the recipes that are in this book and WOW is all I can say. You dont even feel like you are dieting but the main thing it does is show you portion control. Speed up your calorie burn by simply changing the foods you eat. That's the premise of this new book by Rockridge Press. Nice job of helping the reader to understand the basics of this diet approach . A comprehensive approach that includes exercise along with consulting with your medical staff. Easy to read and cook ( I actually made a few of the dishes) recipes. Nicely laid out with a variety of color photos that enhance overall readability. Reasonable value.

I am not sure if this book will come off the shelf in my kitchen very often. I appreciated the layout and display of the cookbook, and think any audience would agree. However,  with the ever-rising access to online recipes, I think those will be easier to pull up quickly when you are looking for a meal idea that supports your dietary (metabolic) needs and goals.

If you are looking to lose weight without really shocking your body, then you need this book. This book teaches you about the Fast Metabolism Diet. It includes sections that tells you about Metabolism and the factors that affect the Metabolism. This book is designed to be used for 4 weeks, and is broken up into 3 different stages to help you lose the most weight. I have tried a few recipes out of this book and they teach you portion control while still eating delicious foods. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in this type of cooking. I love that it got straight to all the recipes and did not waste time discussing the science of the food. The Sweet Potato Shepherd’s Pie was great, and I look forward to trying more recipes, especially the dips.

This is a pretty interesting book. It isn't just a cookbook filled with a ton of recipes. Yes, there are many recipes inside, but this book also teaches you so much about metabolism. I actually learned a lot more than I knew before.  This book gives a very detailed explanation about what metabolism is, the factors that affect it, foods to eat to rev it up, and more. There are meal plans, diet and exercise tips, and helpful rules. There are so many recipes for meat eaters, vegans, and vegetarians as well. Reading this book actually made me want to run into the kitchen and start cooking up some of the recipes found inside.

If you are on the fence about this book, you shouldn't be. My husband and I learned quite a bit from this book! Everything is broken down into stages and is written very clearly so we were able to understand everything. The recipes were all things that I would actually make and eat (which is rare for cookbooks). I reccomend!

This is a great diet cookbook!  The recipes are easy and most importantly delicious.  You'd never know you were on a diet.  The book has recipes set up for the three stages of your diet, which I thought was great.  They also include the recipes for homemade mayo and hot sauce, which are far healthier than the processed type.  Even if you’re not dieting there’s lots of healthy recipes your family will love! Extremely helpful book that not only tells you what foods to eat but WHY to eat them and WHY they help you to lose weight and stay healthy. There is an insane amount of recipes in this book so there will definitely be someone for everyone in here! The recipes I have tried already have been absolutely delicious, and surprisingly filling - I am not left still feeling hungry! Really a great read!

WOW! Really that is all I can say about this book! It is a good wow too!! There are so many great recipes that I want to try there are so many to list! This books talks about the fundamentals of fast metabolism which is so awesome! I love everything about this book! Keep in mind that it says it is a diet book not only can it be used for dieting it can be used for a healthy life style as well!

After having 2 kids losing weight has been tough. My mom is older and going through menopause so her metabolism has been slowing down!  Diets always seen to be bland or boring but these recipes are really yummy and I do not feel like I am dieting! This cookbook has LOTS of awesome recipes that not only sound delicious but are HEALTHY for you as well! I didn't read this because I specifically wanted to improve my metabolism, I just love cookbooks and finding new recipes! I cannot wait to try the Red Pepper Hummus recipe! I love hummus and love red peppers but never thought to combine the two!

If you're looking to kickstart your metabolism and lose weight, this book is full of suggestions.  Better still, it's got some solid information on how the human metabolism works, and how sleep, physical movement, the immune system, and stress can all factor in.  Many of the recipes look good, I'm totally trying the pumpkin dip first—it looks amazing!  I'm not wild about all the emphasis on weight loss, but otherwise this is a cool resource.
