This is a delightful book of short stories set in Australia. The judges have done a fine job of selecting stories that are interesting, entertaining, thought-provoking, sometimes sad and sometimes funny. One leaves reading this book feeling like you have dined out at a good restaurant. All the courses were satisfying. Some of the stories are stunning. There are one or two that are a little humdrum, but even those ones make one think. Production quality is high.
I agree with the review posted on April 29 and feel it is an exact duplicate of my impression of the book. It is a good read and one of the better books that I've gotten for free. If you want to get a sense of what everyday life in Australia is like, this book will give you a idea. Stories from different genres are represented; the reader is sure to find several appealing stories in this collection.
