About the Author
I am author of several novels, including Powerlines: 'Pride and Fall', and Powerlines: 'Young Lions', 'The Marble Boy', and a collection of short stories called 'August Blue'. I have just completed the third and final part of the Powerlines trilogy: 'Vermilion'. For Powerlines, I created and developed characters and have followed their fortunes in Pride and Fall, and Young Lions. Now, in Vermilion, those characters, Brian and his friends, are caught up in a mystery, and an act of vengeance. In preparation is new novel in which, to atone perhaps for his involvement in a a terrible death, a man returns to the memory and enthusiasm he once had for a retreat, over several months, in a small religious community in the Middle East. I am English, born in Bury St Edmunds, England, in 1962, and now live in London. After studying architecture in London and Glasgow, I have been a practicing and, happily, a successful architect, working in London for several years. My buildings, designed for and within a successful firm of architects, have won prestigious awards. I now combines architectural practice and writing, while indulging in the occasional painting and drawing project, and travelling. Please visit me at: www.andrewdaws.co.uk
