Ms. Laveen has become one of my favorite authors. Another wonderful story with unforgettable characters. I just loved the chemistry between Ace and Brooklyn. I enjoyed reading how their friendship developed into love. There is so much more to this story. I highly recommend.

Great story -- interesting characters, thoughthful, intelligent, heartwarming, sad, funny and hard to put down. So well written, I could literally feel the emotions of each of the characters. Worth every penny I paid for it.

This was a great read. Funny and enjoyable. I could not put the book down for nothing. Ace is very funny and she feeds off of him. They were meant for each other

I've enjoyed the other books by this writer, particularly the "Saint" series. This one is so much less of everything than her other books...not as well written, charcters less interesting and less developed, the suspense is lacking, the pacing is slow, and the sex less a part of the characters development and coming together as a couple. The sex here is also less sexy and "hot." The book is in need of proofreading and editing. She writes as if she just discovered the dictionary and tries to impress by using what some would call "big" words and words not comonly used in daily conversation. Unfortunately, she often uses these words incorrectly. Spelling, grammar and punctuation errors also distract from enjoying this book. The voice of the male romantic lead who is described as wealthy, educated, white and in his 30s, is all wrong. His dialogue is written as if he is young and black, or young and urban, and not very educated. I just cannot recommend this book. I should probably give this book a one star rating but won't because I like the writer more than I dislike this book.
