Another Great It's great how friends can turn into more. Brad & Erin have been friends for years because of her friendship with his sister. He's another relationship shy guy. She loves him but understands. Can they help each other out.

While an interesting idea the writing was often immature; the adults too often speaking like teens. The sex scenes weren't that good, just very long, sometimes pages. I skimmed to get to the point quite a lot. Erin and Brad were likeable characters. I wish they'd had better writing. While not a cliffhanger in the sense that it stops midsentence the action and dialogue are seamlessly continued in the next book, a sample of which is included.

Friends to Lovers. Brad the elder brother of Erin's best friend needs somewhere to stay whist his new house is being built and Erin offers him her spare room. There's no problem with that is there? She's long over her crush on him when she was nineteen but she still thinks he's hot. Brad and Erin have a good friendship and when they discover a need for each of them to have a "significant other" they make a pact to be fake girlfriend/boyfriend. Due to Brad's playboy lifestyle this quickly morphs into a fake engagement to prove his relationship commitment. However someone doesn't want Brad to get new design projects and he is targeted with rumours and lies and Erin is catching flak too...... How will their new fledging relationship survive? I love the friends to lovers trope and though I guessed from the outset who the saboteur was I found it an enjoyable read. Recommended. Strong language. I received a complimentary copy of this book and chose to give an honest review. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.

The Unintended Fiance by Miranda P. Charles is the fourth book in her wonderful series Captured by Love. The series is about an extended group of friends that, as part of a charity fundraiser, make bets periodically to see which of the single guys gets "Captured by Love" next. It's all in good fun and this book in particular was wonderful. Bradley Mead and Erin Baker have been friends forever. Erin used to crush on him big time in her teens, but as she grew up seeing her best friends brother go through women almost faster than underwear she learned to appreciate his gorgeousness and let the feelings go. When his sister and her bestie, Lexi, moves out of their apartment to move in with her guy, Erin offers the spare room to Bradley. He is waiting on his house being built and is looking for somewhere for a few months. She can handle this - her crush is long gone, plus he still goes through women like it's nobody's business. When a mutual need to pretend to be "in a relationship" arises the two of them start to get cozy in public. But when that starts to translate to cozy in private can they keep their feelings out of it? Do they even want to? This book was rampant with emotion - angst and goosebumps - and a bit of danger and deception too. I absolutely loved it. Miranda is a definite MUST READ author for me.

It seemed like a good idea. At first. Erin needed a roommate, Brad needed a place to stay. Why not? What harm could possibly happen from two friends staying together? Plenty, lol, especially when life throws a bunch of curveballs their way. Brad's ex is now married to his potential client. The trouble there is the client knew they'd been together, and the ex can't keep from flirting with Brad. The easiest way to prove he's not interested is to say he's taken. The likeliest choice? Erin, his new roommate who once had a massive crush on him. As luck has it, she's in need of a fake-relationship partner to ward off her own persistent ex, who happens to be her new co-worker. Awesome. *grins* It wasn't the setup that got me interested. It was the "So what happens now?" that did. I wondered how long it'd take before they fell for one another for real. I wondered who'd confess their love first. I wondered what it was going to take for them to realize all they wanted and needed was in each other. Brad and Erin were most definitely attracted to one another. But they could also just talk, hang out, watch movies without acting on that attraction. The enjoyment of being with each other was enough at times. At others, they needed intimacy, the feel of skin on skin, of making love and not just having sex. They complimented each other well. Maybe it's why it was so easy for me to appreciate their love. I like that this story shows, initially, Brad and Erin's fake relationship as a sure thing to never get past "fake". And I liked that Ms. Charles wrote them falling little by little for one another until they were all the other could think about even during a brief separation. This is a great addition to this series. A little bit of mystery, a lot of attraction, a few inevitable rounds of sex, and a love that wouldn't quit. 4.5* Received from author for an honest review

Erin and Brad became roommates while his house us being built. Erin's ex works for her company but he cheated on her and then got married. Now he wants her back. Brad owns a Interior design company and is trying to get a big account. But he had a couple of dates with the man's wife before they were married and he thinks Brad still wants her. So Erin and him come up with the idea of "pretending" to be boyfriend and girlfriend. Erin must keep her heart out of it because Brad has made it clear he is not relationship material. But when Brad has to give her up to keep from having her name dragged through the mud, he finally realizes he can't live without her. Funny. Sexy. A "Who done it?" story. And a little sad. I usually figure these out but I was totally shocked. Loved it! *RECEIVED A COPY FROM AUTHOR FOR HONEST REVIEW*

Captured by Love was the perfect moniker for this series as a whole. Miranda P. Charles has written a series of books that steal the heart with emotion charged stories that are on fire. The Unintended Fiance is my favorite story so far. There has always been unrequited feelings between Erin and Bradley. Erin has always wanted more than friendship. Clueless Bradley has never seen her as more than a friend. When Bradley needs a favor and Erin reluctantly agrees things get complicated. Old feelings surface, emotions become involved and underhanded tactics could put an end to friendship and romance permanently. I received an ARC of The Unintended Fiance' in exchange for an honest review. Ms. Charles put her all into ever story she writes and that can clearly be seen with this story.
