About the Author

Mr. Thomson is an internationally known scientist specializing in the use of specialty polyurethanes in consumer products, agriculture, disposable medical devices and environmental remediation. He has written three book on polyurethane chemistry and has conducted seminars in North America and Europe. He is the founder and director of Main Street technologies. His research has led to the commercialization ofseveral commercial organizations in the US and Europe.
His current research interest is in the use of hydrogel materials (of which hydrophilic polyurethane is an example) in advanced medical and environmental technologies.
