I really enjoyed this first segment in this series. The author skillfully pulled you in and told you a great story. I was hooked from page one and honestly would have gone crazy if I didn't have part two to follow up with. This segment has a ton of suspense, action, and downright crazy fight scenes. I recommend this book to all who like a bit of a twist on the normal vampire/hunter story :)

This s the first installment of an old fashioned serial novel! I love it! It has been a long time since I have read a novel written this way. I find it fun, fun, fun! This installment sets up the whole premise of the series beautifuly. I am actually goig to start the next one as soon as I finish this review so it is going to be super short ;).

Be careful, this book is only part one! If you want to try to read this one, be sure to have the other part handy! This book was okay, but I wouldn't read it again(and that's saying something, because I re-read almost EVERY book!). This book is more of an 'I-have-nothing-else-to-do-I-guess-I'll-just-read-this-one' kind of story.

Chloe has been living with her mother, never knowing who her father was until one night she witnesses her mother's murder and before passing out sees a bunch of people come in to help. When Chloe wakes up there is an old man sitting next to her bed and she learns that he is her grandfather and that her mother as well as herself are Vampire Hunters but to make matters worse the man that killed her mother.
Right from the very beginning there is something going on in Chloe's life and you can't help feel the pull towards her. She goes from witnessing her mother's death, learning about her true hertiage, meeting her grandfather and finding out about her real father. I found myself liking Chloe her and her strong will and desire to learn how to be the best vampire hunter out there.
Because this is a short novel, I can't go into too many details without giving away information but I will tell you that you will not be disapointed in the story and will want to read more :)

Excellent read. This book is only a few that I've found to be shockingly FREE! I will definitely be reading more books from this author.
The only disappointing thing is that it wasn't longer, and that the second book is NOT free. But I guess we can't always get what we want, right?! :P

This book started with action, and ended with a cliffhanger leaving you anticipating the next book. Sorry no spoilers.

Out of what I read it sunds like a good book but it is extremly short and without enogh detail..

I really liked the start of this book. I felt bad for her as she had to watch her mother die. I imagine it must have been a shock to find out that vampires really do exist. I think that the book has the potential of being really good. I will be reading the next chapter to find out what happens next.
