Loneliness can cause a man to make stupid decisions, like walking straight into an obvious trap. But after weeks of internet chats, sexy text messages, and sweet phone calls with the lovely woman posing as bait, Gabriele Barone has no choice but to see this thing through to the end even if that means giving up his freedom to save her.
Hunger, frustration, and watching her father's agony over what happened twenty years ago in Panthera Laboratories has driven Aurelia Pontes to drastic steps. Against her father's wishes and in absolute secrecy she joins forces with the owner of the laboratory to capture a third generation vampire for experiments that will reverse vampirism and lift the black cloud over Central City.
Falling in love with the enemy may be a bad decision, but joining forces with a man so powerful he drove the city into ruins will change Aurelia's life forever. Vampires aren't the only specimen Panthera likes to use in experiments. Pretty, unknowing women work well, too.
Can Gabe save the life of the woman he loves, or will she become another of Panthera's forgotten victims?

Aurelia is working with Pantera to bring an end to vampires after her father was injured in a vampire attack. She just wants her family safe. The Vampire she is setting up for capture shouldn't matter, but getting to know him changed things for her. Gabe is out to rescue the woman he's fallen in love with without ever meeting her in person. Wanting to find a lasting love blinds Gabe to his duties. Finding out she's the enemy and that she was setting a trap for him is almost more than he can take. These two had so many obstacles in their way. From family, to a psychotic madman and his men, and learning to overcome broken trust. The pull to each other is electric right from the start. The story is well written and exciting. You get just the right amount of descriptions, excitement and emotion to keep you on a wild ride. The characters are developed just right for a story this size. The only negative I could say was at the very beginning in the first few pages I was confused about everything that was going on, but once I got a handle on it, the story was a rush of excitement and romance till the end. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a bumpy romance, vampires, paranormal, or just a well written story. Received a copy for an honest review.
