Some people were easy to find. Others took hunting and patience. The most difficult was a target who knew she was coming, and he knew. How could he not? When you backed a predator into a corner, when you took and destroyed all that she loved, when you made a game of ruining lives and sadism for you was sport, but then you failed to kill the predator: you’d better know she was coming back. This was an inviolable law. She wasn’t dead, and so she was coming for him. She had his face, had the name of a city. In the right hands, anything could be mined into so much more. She would find him. Kill him. Simple as that.

Tells the story at the end of The Doll that didn't quite get told.  Michael is on the hunt and the only questions is how many dead bodies will be  left behind.  Nice addition to the series.  Not sure if it could really be a stand alone, but if you wanted to try the series and see if you'd like it, this is worth your time investment.

This is a great series.  Such unique, clever characters, I can't wait to see what happens in the coming books.  If you haven't read them all you are in for  some great reading!

Any time you spend reading this review is wasted time that you could be reading Taylor Steven's wonderful novels. I have a handful of my go-to writers and Taylor is at the top of the list. I highly recommend any and all of her works!

Yes! The bad guy gets his, in spades. Here are the satisfying details of how Munroe locates and destroys the sadist responsible for the mountain of pain and human misery he created in The Doll. This novella details his demise and ensures the reader feels justice has been done and retribution exacted. It is a fitting addendum to what was brushed over briefly at the end of The Doll.

Too much detail in preparation for the very brief completion of the task she set for herself which was the reason for the story. No person was saved for certain and it did not feel finished.
