About the Author

A freckle faced, redhead born and raised in Hawaii, Kele Moon has always been a bit of a sore thumb and has come to enjoy the novelty of it. She thrives off pushing the envelope and finding ways to make the impossible work in her story telling. With a mad passion for romance, she adores the art of falling in love. The only rules she believes in is that, in love there are no rules and true love knows no bounds.

So obsessed is she with the beauty of romance and the novelty of creating it she’s lost in her own wonder world most of the time. Thankfully she married her own dark, handsome, brooding hero who had infinite patience for her airy ways and attempts to keep her grounded. When she leaves her keys in the refrigerator or her cell phone in the oven he’s usually there to save her from herself. The two of them now reside in Florida with their three beautiful children who make their lives both fun and challenging in equal parts–They wouldn’t have it any other way.

Fantastic story about two people whose lives literally collided with a twist of bad luck. They have an instant connection and neither one can stop thinking about the other. Like night chasing the day, they couldn't be more opposite. Katie is a history teacher and she lives a quiet normal and scheduled life. Marcos is a gangbanging street thug who lost his shot at professional MMA fighting. He's been trying to clean up his act but his bad luck seems to chase him where ever he goes. Is it really bad luck for Katie and Marcos or is it fate steering them in the direction they're destined to go?  LOVED IT! This is my first Kele Moon book and definitely not my last. This series, Untamed Hearts is a spin off from the Battered Hearts series. I just bought all those books and plan to read them soon. There is one moment in this book that I had to stop and just say daaaaannnnngggg…. I had to slow down my reading and just take it all in. It was so hot and sexy and and and… just amazing. I felt it all the way to my toes. When Marcos knocks on Katie’s door *shivers* best scene in the book for me. Actually each encounter these two have is off the chart hot. This book will make you laugh, horny, get misty eyed and fall in love with all the characters. Marcos is a foul mouthed, dirty talkin’, bad boy who’s got a kind heart that’s caged in a lifetime of wrong turns and bad luck. Marcos’ relationship with his cousin Chuito is definitely note worthy. I LOVE Chuito aka Slayer! Chuito plays a big part in this book. I won’t go into details but I cannot wait to read Chuito’s story. *giddy with excitement* Katie is smart, strong and I love her sassy attitude. She’s not afraid to say “no” and will work to get what she wants. The only annoying thing about her was how she seemed to constantly compare Grayson to Marcos. There are several funny moments in this book and I love it when an author can literally make me laugh out loud. Marcos and Grayson’s interactions crack me up.  Overall I loved it. The flow of this book is really good. For me, there were a couple of lull moments, but they didn’t last long. I really liked how the author introduced all the characters and I never once got confused or lost. There was action, steamy hot sex and a good story to back all this up. Even though this is a spin off series from Battered Hearts, you don’t have to read that series to know what’s going on.  Who would I recommend this book to? Everyone with EYES! It’s fantastic and I’m excited to read more from this author.

Marcos and Katie’s paths cross in an unconventional way, they meet one another on a cold winter’s night when Marcos’ car crashes into Katie’s. She becomes injured and its in those brief, crucial minutes they form a connection that is unbreakable. Their widely different backgrounds don’t matter, those moments stolen in the dead of night cemented their relationship. Yet the world seems to be conspiring to keep these two people apart.       Marcos is better known as a thug. He is a well known gang member from Florida and has even spent time in prison for gang activities. He has no future except for gang related activities. Yet when confronted with the absolute goodness that Katie represents, he can’t help but want something more from life. Katie, a high school teacher, has been a good girl all of her life. Went to school, had a job, always colored inside the lines...until her intense attraction to Marcos, who could be trouble to her very ordered life.      I absolutely adore Kele Moon. She has a way of writing characters, who even though they may have major flaws (hello, gangbanger!!) you completely and utterly fall in love with them. Criminals, thieves, and violent to the extreme, I still was able to sympathize and understand their motivations.      The romance, oye the romance. Katie has been sheltered all her life and its as if Marcos brings light into her world. The same is true for Marcos, he has been living this chaotic existence and with Katie and her naive  and calm nature, his life starts to make sense. He in turn becomes more calm and better able to make sense of the chaos around him. These two wildly different people, who while on paper should never ever work, completely click and bring order to one another.        Kele Moon has once again knocked my socks off with her writing. Wildly romantic, funny, sweet, and full of suspense with a teensy bit of mystery, The Viper is a fantastic start to a series I know I am already going to love. Real and original, Marcos and Katie’s story is agonizing but ultimately uplifting. Filled with glimpses into the lives of her previous series, the new series will hopefully take place in our favorite town of Garnet as well. Moon’s voice is simple yet her story is complex and unforgettable. Another  fantastically well done story, I can’t wait to read the next book in the Untamed Hearts series, The Slayer.

I really enjoyed this book and after reading it I wanted to read it again. Sometimes, even while reading another book, I'm still thinking of this story. And of course the 1st sex scene was aamaaazing! ;0)

I enjoyed this one. The characters were well thought out, likable, there is a plot, a HEA, a hot, hot main guy, decently written sex scenes and good action as well. What's not to like here? Other than calling the floor the ground (just no) even the grammar was fine (getting harder to find that these days, good for Ms Moon!). Its a fine read with some humor thrown in. NICE cover woooh!

My reaction when I heard Kele Moon was coming out with a new series that is a spin-off of the Battered Hearts series? SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! I think perhaps my ovaries exploded. I was that excited. I won’t mention what happened the day it showed up on my kindle. We just got new carpet. This is the story of Marcos and Katie. They meet by accident, literally, when Marcos is run off the road by another car and hits Katie on New Year’s Eve. But it’s not the worst thing that could have happened to either of them, because it set into motion events that ended up enriching both of their lives. Katie is a High School teacher, and she’s smart and strong, but it took meeting Marcos for her to really understand her inner strength. Marcos has had a very different life. A life where he has lost those closest to him to gang violence; gang violence that he felt responsible for. Very simply, Marcos is a criminal, and feels he is unworthy of what Katie is offering him. But, the pull is too strong for either to deny, and they agree to be with each other for one week. One week for them both to live out their fantasies with each other before they go back to the lives they were living before. But once they both taste something so sweet and so real, can they go on like it never happened? Oh. Em. Gee. This book was AWESOME. It was a lot different than the other Garnet books because it doesn’t really center on the fighting aspect as much as it does the criminal connections of the main characters. Knowing who else will be featured in the other books in this series and I’m liking this common theme a lot. The characters are still wonderful and relatable, and their stories feel worth telling, in true Kele Moon style. I also have to say that Kele manages to write some of the best sex scenes EVER in the history of sex scenes. She knows how to strike a balance in the story between the sex and the actual story, but the sex always knocks me out. It’s realistic but still really steamy and hot. She is the queen of the sex scene, ya’ll!!! My husband thanks you! I loved Marcos and Katie together, but what I really loved was how their influence in each other’s lives lead to them each changing their lives for the better. Not so they could be together, but just because they each knew that they had to in order to be the people that they knew they could be (does that make sense?). I thought the series of love letters that Katie wrote to Marcos through Craigslist was absolutely adorable, just like Katie was. I also loved how Katie was not a pushover. Kele manages to write female characters that are strong, but still gentle and caring. Marcos is also such a good guy. He’s lead a tough life, which really makes you feel for him. He’s obviously a product of his environment and of poverty, and I think that’s a story that deserves to be put out there. He’s a great hero for this story. Overall, I just freakin’ loved this book. It was so good and such a heartfelt story, which I really wasn’t expecting. I can’t wait to see where this series takes us. Bring on the next! 5 stars! Excellent Read!!!   Loved this and the tie-in to the Battered Hearts series.  Looking forward to more of the Untamed series. Marcos is such a perfect Hot alpha!   Hope Chu and Alaine's story is next, but they would fit in either series.

3.5 Stars  ~Reviewed by SUZANNE & posted at Under the Covers Book Blog I have been looking forward to the beginning of Kele Moon’s Untamed Hearts series for what seems like forever. I adored her Battered Hearts series so I was full prepared to turn full force of my obsession onto Untamed Hearts, the spin off of that series. Now, I wouldn’t say I was disappointed exactly with this book, but it definitely, for me, lacked the emotion punch and almost grand romance of the books in Battered Hearts. If you love a bad boy, the ero of the The Viper Marcos Rivera may be right up your alley (or any alley about to mug the next passerby), a not-quite-former gang member and underground fighter, Marcos is trying to get out and go straight, but it is proving to be one of the hardest things he has ever done. The last thing he expects is to fall for a high school teacher; Katie Foster is as soft as he is hard. But he can’t deny the pull and mutual attraction between them, but he needs to stay away from her they belong in two separate worlds and he refuses to drag her down into his. It wasn’t that Katie and Marcos didn’t have good chemistry together, they did and the sexual attraction between them was obvious. And the obstacles keeping them seemed real enough that it tugged on your heart. However, it didn’t have the intensity and emotional upheaval I was expecting which made it stand out from other books in the bad boy meets good girl troupe. But it wasn’t a bad book it had everything I have come to expect from Kele Moon, the characters were likable, the sex was hot and the romance was lovely. It has also built up a couple of the characters from the Battered Hearts series who I really hope will get a book soon in this series! I am going to view this as a warm up, it didn’t quite hit the spot for me, but I look forward to giving the next book a try. *ARC provided by publisher

When you combine a sexy, hunky hero with a divorcee who still manages to exude innocence and naivete, you can be damn sure there'll be fireworks, followed by a blazing inferno. Viper was a spicy read with a gripping plot, passionate scenes, and witty, vulgar banter among the latinos. Being from the 305 myself, I snickered a lot at the back and forth between Marcos and Chuito, and who doesn't want a Tia Sofia around? This story made me a Kele Moon fan for sure. I know you'll enjoy it!
