About the Author

Biography

Michael A. Cimino received a diploma from the Sommelier Society of America in 1993. Since then he has applied his trade for several establishments, including the prestigious Xaviar's Restaurant Group, and the Park Steakhouse of Park Ridge, NJ.
In February of 2000, the NY Times hailed Mr. Cimino, saying he had "mastered the arts of accommodating guests and of selecting wine."
After spending ten years working with Peter X. Kelly at the Xaviar's Restaurant Group he was appointed General Manager of the newly reopened Park Steakhouse, where he received the 2004 Award of Distinction from Wine Enthusiast magazine and the 2005 Award of Excellence from the Wine Spectator for his work on their wine list, and went on to speak at WOR Radio's annual Taste of New York alongside celebrity chefs Lydia Bastianich and John Halligan.
In 2006 Mr. Cimino founded the Cottage Views School of Wine and was, once again, awarded by Wine Enthusiast for his wine list designs.
He is a regular contributor to several magazines, with over 200 articles published, and sporadically hosts an Internet radio show - Cottage Views Classic Rock Music Hour - on www.RocklandWorldRadio.com
