The War for Beringia by Charles Miller

Tuue dreams of riding a wooly mammoth into glorious battle.
When the promised land of Beringia rises from the sea, Tuue charges into war with the invaders from across the ocean. Failure in battle sinks Tuue into addiction and self pity. Love gives him the determination to fight through prejudice to lead his herd, but can he defeat the barbarian hordes led by a god?
Journey back to the beginning of the last ice advance, 80,000 years ago, a time of cataclysmic weather and drastic landscape changes in North America. This is the time of pleists, the first people, who mount monstrous animals like mammoths, cave bears, saber-toothed cats, giant ground sloths and wooly rhinoceroses to battle for control of the promised land in the War for Beringia.

About the Author

Caw Miller has been fascinated by the megafauna of the Pleistocene since he was a child. As he grew older, Caw became intrigued by the mysteries, which are some of the greatest unsolved mysteries in science. For example: how the many huge animals that had lived in North America through many ice advances suddenly disappeared at the end of the most recent advance, when did humans come to North America, and did humans have something to do with the mass extinction? Since science cannot answer those questions, Caw Miller created his own explanations, filling in the holes in the science with fantastical extrapolations.
