Amazing book, easy to read and appropriate for everyone, perfect for the evening reading on my hammock. It offers advice on relationships, parenting and many other life issues, which we face daily. I just turned 40 and I wish this book was around twenty years ago. Chapter 38 was life changing for me personally...it’s about us holding grudges. Grudges feed on unforgiveness...author offers perfect explanation which is followed by a short example. I plan on purchasing more books as Christmas presents because I know everyone will enjoy it!

A fine gift, or just to keep on the bedside table, The Waterwheel is not so much a book as it is a thoughtful companion offering insights to help navigate life's relationships. The clear, simple prose is organized to let the reader wander in when the mood strikes and visit even a single observation or helpful idea. The author distills her decades of experience as a marriage and family therapist into this slim, beautifully illustrated collection of valuable perspectives.
