About the Author

At the time of writing and illustrating this children's book, Lily Guo is an undergraduate student at the University of Florida studying Microbiology and Cell Science with a minor in Spanish. Lily was inspired to create this book from some of her childhood experiences. To highlight some of the ways the power of being present and engaged can help brighten up a kid's day, she also drew upon her time volunteering with patients in pediatric units. Lily enjoys creating art in her free time and in the future, she hopes to enter the field of pediatrics.
