There were three guarantees in Tricia Patterson’s life:

1.  Her friendship with Sean Peterson was rock solid

2.  She had a career that she absolutely adored

3.  This summer was going to be the death of her

With the proverbial “Always a Bridesmaid and Never a Bride” becoming her new mantra, Tricia didn’t know how she was going to survive this year’s round of weddings.  Six of them this summer alone!  In an attempt to ward off the pity-party, her best friend Sean gives her the perfect solution to help her get through – he’ll pretend to be her boyfriend.  While not certain that was going to be of any help, Tricia’s knows it also won’t hurt.

When circumstances beyond Sean’s control keep him from coming home to Tricia’s aid, he sends his brother Ryan in his place.  Four years older than his brother and his best friend, Ryan isn’t sure why these weddings are such a big deal.  He’s also not sure of what the exact nature is of this relationship between Sean and Tricia.  And that’s becoming a big problem because the more time he spends with Tricia, the more he realizes that she’s the one he wants to plan a wedding with.

*This is a 40,000 word stand-alone novella*

About the Author

New York Times and USA Today Bestseller/contemporary romance writer Samantha Chase released her debut novel, Jordan's Return, in November 2011. Although she waited until she was in her 40's to publish for the first time, writing has been a lifelong passion. Her motivation to take that step was her students: teaching creative writing to elementary age students all the way up through high school and encouraging those students to follow their writing dreams gave Samantha the confidence to take that step as well.

When she's not working on a new story, she spends her time reading contemporary romances, playing way too many games of Scrabble or Solitaire on Facebook and spending time with her husband of 25 years and their two sons in North Carolina.

Samantha Chase gives us a fun story about a summer filled with weddings and a plan to fool friends into thinking two best friends are dating. Trying to avoid well meaning matchmakers Sean and Trisha agree to pose as each other's significant other for the weddings, but an accident in Japan keeps Sean laid up. He asks brother Ryan to fill in for him and Ryan reluctantly does. As they get to know one another Trisha and Ryan fall in love. Kudos to Ms. Chase for keeping us out of their sex lives and foregoing the more vulgar language so often used by contemporary writers. A welcome change There are a few typos, but these don't interfere with the enjoyment of this well crafted book.

I enjoyed Samantha Chases story about a Paterson meeting a Peterson. Initially I thought the story was one where best friends suddenly awake to being in love. The real story was intrifuing and different. The adult theme was entertaining but it was not explicit. It was a complete story... no cliffhanger episodes. The editor did miss some errors, so if I were the writer I would find some more competent!!! I would recommend this story. Just be patient when the were reproduce. Just skip over the extra ones! I did it, so you can do it, too!!!

A perfect pool side read for this summer. Summer weddings are so fun, but six weddings alone this summer, Tricia is tired of going stag, so her best friend from high school, Sean has agreed to be her stand in date. Unable to fulfill his commitment, he has his brother, Ryan stand in for him. Once Ryan and Tricia start attending the wedding, a chemistry between the two start to ignites. I really enjoyed the story between Tricia and Ryan, a full story packed into a novella that can be read in one sitting, because you won't want to put it down. I highly recommend this book.

Single and relatively happy about it Speech Pathologist (who knew that was a job!) Tricia is dreading the summer. Three wedding invitations already on the mantle and another three have just arrived, just what she needed. Still, her best friend Sean will be back by then and they have made a pact to attend as a couple so that they can both avoid the matchmaking and pitying looks from their loved up friends. It all goes awry when Sean suffers an accident just days before returning home to the States. Luckily for Tricia his older brother, Ryan, steps in to the breach and becomes her plus one - will this lead to true love for both of them? It doesn't sound too bad when you distill it down like that. Unfortunately the execution of both the plot and the characters left me feeling distinctly underwhelmed. I was so glad this was a short tale as I don't think I could have got much further than he 200 pages it purports to be on my eReader. There is no real story arc and it all becomes a bit this happens and then they kiss and then this happens and they become far more intimate, then we have a misunderstanding and they break up but awww they love each other so it doesn't stick. The characters are pretty flimsy so you don't really care about whether or not Tricia will get it together with Ryan, there isn't really any suspense as to whether it is Sean that she really loves. Quick and easy read that passes the time on a commute or when reading time is limited and you have one eye on the clock the whole time. Other than that I really wouldn't bother.

Cute, clean, short story! THE WEDDING SEASON makes me eager to read about the six weddings Tricia and Ryan attended together. The attraction was quick for these two, but they had known each other for years and clearly just needed the right timing. 4 stars

4 1/2 STARS! A sweet set up and fun times together leads to more than they ever bargained for! Tricia Patterson and her best friend Sean Peterson were invited to way too many weddings this summer, so they came up with a plan to pretend to be dating and go together to each one so their friends could no longer try to set them up with people or give them the looks of pity. Only problem is, Sean has something come up that makes it impossible for him to attend, so he sends his brother in his place! Ryan Peterson has always liked Tricia when she was always hanging around with Sean, but never really got to know her on his own. Will the time they spend together at each of these weddings make them wonder why they have never noticed each other before and wonder if they should be planning one of their own??

The Wedding Season by Samantha Chase has vaulted right to the top of my favorite books that involve the best friend’s brother trope. I loved this story…hard! Tricia and Sean are best friends. As best friend’s they do things together and for each other. When they realize, there are six weddings they have to get through, Sean decides that they should go together as a couple; a fake couple. He knows Tricia hates the pitying looks and wants to do this for her, but an accident leaves him unable to do so. Sean’s brother, Ryan takes his place and let’s just say, that the chemistry between Tricia and Ryan are off the charts. The Wedding Season kept me turning the pages and wishing the story would never end. 5 stars!

Loved this story!! It seems that everyone Tricia Patterson knows is getting married. Dreading the upcoming summer wedding season with 6 invites already in hand, Tricia and her best friend Sean agree to attend all of them as a couple. That should help keep everyone from giving them the "so sad you're still single" looks! That plan goes up in smoke when Sean is involved in an accident that leaves him hospitalized and out of the country. Luckily for Tricia, Sean's brother Ryan agrees to stand in for Sean for all the weddings. These two spending time together could lead to some really interesting times!! This is a fantastic relaxing read that you don't want to miss. I highly recommend it.

The Wedding Season is a sexy sweet read that shows even when family interferes they only has good intentions. Ryan has a work ethic of a stubborn bull, even though he is the boss, he rarely takes time for himself. Ryan after being coerced by his brother agrees to attend weddings of friends with Tricia when Sean gets injured. When Ryan starts having feelings for Tricia is he uncomfortable with his feelings because he believes there is something between Sean and Tricia. Tricia and Sean have been best friends since high school they both are invited to so many weddings that are in their group of friends, they decided to attend together. But when fate steps in Tricia find herself attending the weddings with Ryan, Sean’s brother. Can Tricia make this work for Sean or will she discover there is more to Ryan than she thought? Tricia and Ryan are definitely fun. They turned up the heat in their relationship, but misgivings and miscommunications causes some bumps in the road for these two. Can they work pass the road blocks or will the end of the wedding season be the end to them as well? Supporting characters gave both Ryan and Trish just a lite push that had them exploring whatever it is between them. Sean and Ms. Peterson are up to no good. If their plan works all will be HEA, if not they might just loose two people who they love. The Wedding Season had me feeling a wide range of emotions; from laughing to tear up moments and finally a dislike on how some events played out. Even though those events is what gave The Wedding Season the boost it needed to bring Ryan and Trisha out of their shells. I really enjoyed that Ms. Chase gave us a powerhouse novella that I read in one sitting. I want to thank Ms. Chase showing her readers where Sean and Angie started from before Friday Night Brides. I will say that Sean and Angie don’t met up in this book it is just implied. Rated 4 Stilettos by Deb !

The Wedding Season is my fantasy story. I was enchanted by Tricia. Nothing can trigger her overly dramatic insecurities like weddings. Happily ever afters and Prince Charming are her Kryptonite. Just the thought sends her from level headed to neurotic. The irony is that she gets this way not because she is against the concept, but because it never seems to come her way. Could it be she is just not looking in the right places? She looks to best friend Sean to keep her in check. He is her anchor in a sea of matrimony. Could her anchor be standing in the way of her happily ever after? Samantha Chase has crafted a delightful story full of witty situations, heartwarming moments that are thought provoking and believable. A good time.

This was just ok for me...why do all the guys get to act like idiots and the girl always forgives them without much work...really...kinda boring and demeaning to about a female with a backbone and doesnt put up with being treated badly??

Samantha Chase has once again given us a delightful love story in The Wedding Season! Sean and Tricia had been best friends since high school and were still as thick as thieves. They had made big plans to spend a lot of time together over the summer, attending many weddings of their mutual friends. Due to unforseen circumstances, that reality was not impossible. Sean asked his brother Ryan to step in, and the sparks between Ryan and Tricia could be felt from the moment they re-connected. Tricia was not only Ryan's brother's childhood best friend, now she a beautiful woman. Their journey is so cute, tender, fun and there were moments when Ryan's romantic gestures made my tummy to flip flops! Pick up The Wedding Season today! A wonderful romantic novella to kick off summer in style!!
