The Thinkers have taken bodies, which have imprisoned them. Though they manage to live peacefully, they struggle to regain their former abilities. When Shinga fails to progress as much as those around her, Avorlig, a Hawk member of the council, seeks her banishment. He seeks Ashyina's help to test Shinga's thought. When their plan goes awry, it leads to the first war amongst their kind.
As the Thinkers struggle to regain peace, people begin to go missing. When Kiran, a Cat member of the council, is visited by an angel named Tryailla, he learns that there are beings much more powerful than the Thinkers. They do not like those who have intruded upon their universe and plan to destroy any who cannot serve them.
About the Author
I am a computing archaeologist and fantasy writer. My work often includes archaeological elements and fusion of cultures. I have been working in archaeology for ten years and writing for twice that time. While most of my first works were odd ramblings of a teenager, my adult writings include fantasy that utilizes archaeological reconstructions of cultures sometimes on a theological scale. I spend the first half of the week cataloging and studying ancient cultures and artifacts and the second half taking that information and reinventing it into fictional stories, always with fantasy elements.
