I am of mixed feelings of this novel, “The White Entire: a love that transcends the time-space continuum” by Michael Lee. On one hand, I found that I really, really enjoyed the story and was completely invested in the characters and their outcomes (especially Mike and Lisa, whom I found very interesting). I didn’t want to put it down, and thought the rhythm and unexpected ‘poetic’ quality to be quite refreshing. But on the other hand, this book is in dire need of an editor or proofreader as I noticed several things that prevented me from completely enjoying the book to its maximum potential. Overall the story was different and I thought that Mr. Lee has a great “voice” and potential as an author and isn’t afraid to take risks. The book’s unique angle avoids the ‘cookie-cutter’ trappings of many books today. With the help of a good editor, this book will make for a great read.

I read this book in one night. It was that good! I loved how beautifully and fluidly Mr. Lee writes, and how right away I was a part of the story, and that it was almost like we are right there as everything is happening. I love when books make you feel like that, as opposed to being on the outside looking in. The pace was fast, but at the same time it was carefully detailed and I loved the interspersing of the literary, poetic parts that make you feel like you are ‘experiencing’ the book, not just ‘reading’ it…. almost like a stream of consciousness style narrative. It definitely took some interesting and unexpected turns along the way, and I loved that it was never predictable! An enjoyable, unique story that will appeal to fans of women’s fiction, contemporary romance, and literary drama.

this was such a fun book to read! I really liked the author’s unique writing voice and the relationships that unfold throughout the course of the book. I thought it was well-written and very romantic. Definitely more on the light-hearted side, and I like that it doesn’t take itself too serious, yet is engaging enough to keep my interest from beginning to end. I have to say that there were some definite formatting and editing issues that made it a bit confusing at times (like having several speakers in same paragraph) or missing punctuation… so it really could benefit from a proofreader. But the story itself is lovely and I liked how it all wrapped up in the end.

Every once in a while you read something that makes you totally forget about the outside world for a little while and you are totally transported to another level of consciousness. Not often, but when it happens, it is amazing. Time almost stands still and you feel a new part of your heart and mind opening up, as if for the first time. That is how I felt while reading “The White Entire” by Michael Lee. I was completely hooked from the first page to the last, eagerly reading the story and poetic writing and devouring every magical word. It is different than a normal type of book and done in a more ‘telling’ narrative form, and an overall a compelling and sweet read. Recommend for fans of literary romance.
