Beautiful tribute to her friend Matt! I wept for Romaine and Matt's family as they were put in the center of the storm of a horrifing hate crime/murder that shook the nation.

This book is wonderful. As a teenage lesbian this story hits close to home for me. When i first learned of this story i wanted to know everything! One day i found this book and read it I thought it was the best thing in the world that someone close to him wrote the true story and how they felt. I hope that many more people take the time to read this and learn the real facts. That a gay teenager who was a wonderful son, brother, friend, and student died way to young because of a awful hate crime. To learn the truth of Matthew Shepard you can not find a better place to look other than right here. The whole world was watching.

IT'S A LONG TIME IN THE MAKING, I THINK. IT'S ABOUT TIME THAT SOMEONE WHO REALLY KNEW HIM, WRITES THIS BOOK. IT'S A STORY FOR ALL PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT, STRAIGHT, GAY, LESBIAN OR OTHER WISE. IT'S A STORY THAT NEEDS TO BE TOLD FOR EVERYONE TO HEAR. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO YOU ARE, WHAT RACE YOU ARE, WHAT BACK GROUND YOU CAME FROM, JUSTICE IS DESERVED FOR EVERYONE. EQUALITY IS A RIGHT THAT SHOULD BE AFFORDED TO EVERY HUMAN BEING, AND THIS BOOK JUST GOES TO SHOW THAT EVEN IN HATE, THREW PEACE, WE ALL LEARN SOMETHING.
