About the Author

Rudi Richardson has overcome over forty years of personal adversity including homelessness, addiction, sexual abuse and mental illness to become a celebrated philanthropist, founder of Streetlytes-UK and winner of various accolades and awards for his achievements. In 2013 Richardson won the Charity Staff Foundation Care Provider of the Year Award and was the subject of several television documentaries on his life including Open Souls in 2014.
In 2007, as a result of his personal experiences, Richardson founded the homeless charity Streetlytes (where he also held the position of CEO from 2006 and 2013). Streetlytes is an organisation made up of committed volunteers that provide food and clothing to the homeless in the streets of London.
In 2013, as a result of his continued hard work and dedication, Richardson won the Charity Staff Foundation Care Provider of the Year award Richardson continues to be involved in Streetlytes to this day.
Richardson is an accomplished musician and plays the piano whenever he has the opportunity.
Richardson has eight grandchildren and in January of 2016 has become a great grandfather. Richardson enjoys keeping in touch with his family.
