I received this book when it first came out.  I was so excited to receive it.  I carried it back and forth to work with me sure that I would have time to read it.  It didn’t happen.  I came home sure I would have time to read it.  I didn’t.  I was so agitated I was unable to get to it or any book.  I finally got sick and lay in bed reading it from cover to cover.  I finished the book in October but didn’t get to the review until today.  I am so sorry that I was unable to recommend the book sooner.  I definitely recommend the ENTIRE series.  I loved this series.  I will definitely reread it.  I don’t do that with many books.  This final book took both sides good and evil and brought them together in a battle that had me sitting on the edge of my seat.  I loved that both Wardor and Thorn were given the opportunity to turn their lives around, yet they let greed get in their way of redemption.  Knowing that there were love interests waiting to see if their loved ones would survive, while they did their part in this battle made for another interesting aspect.  Everything was tied up neatly.  This series like his first “Chantel’s Quest” keeps you breathless until you read the last word.  I feel so honored to have gotten to know the author through his books.  I will read and recommend anything he puts out that is of the same quality of his two series.  If you have someone who is not sure they like fantasy, then let him or her cut their teeth on his books.  They are not the dark fantasy that scares so many middle school readers away from the genre.  They are adventurous, uplifting, motivating and life changing.  This is something even your reluctant readers will get into.  I can’t recommend them enough.  I would love to stand at the top of a mountain and shout out, “Read books written by Oliver Neubert!”  So what are you waiting for? I'm standing at the top of that mountain shouting to you to read his books!
