About the Author
Clarence Macartney (1875-1957) was a Presbyterian minister. Born in Northwood, Ohio, he studied at the University of Wisconsin, Princeton University, and Princeton Theological Seminary, later receiving honorary degrees from several other colleges. He was moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in the United States of America. In addition to pastoring, he lectured at many conferences, colleges, and seminaries.
