A new stand alone office romance from USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde...

I’ve always had one rule:

Don’t mix business and pleasure.

But then Landon Wright comes home to his family’s construction company with a broken back and a beaten heart and ends up as my new sexy boss. As the office gets heated, I’m thinking about throwing the rulebook out the window.

If only there weren’t a million reasons this could never work.

We may have shared a single perfect kiss, but I can’t let our intense connection cloud my judgment. Not with everything I’ve worked for on the line.

Dating your boss is so very, very wrong…even if he feels so Wright.

This was a boring, slow read that I finished just to finish. Felt more like a page requirement was being met not a storyline. Lots of repetition, needs better story editing.

This is so so much better if you read the free book first. The title is The Wright Brother. It gives you some history of each of the Wright's past. It has a details of actually show how awful Miranda was to Landon.Enjoyed this book very much.

The Wright Boss can be read as a standalone because each of these books has been about a different Wright Sibling and their partners, this is Landon and Heidi's story. Heidi has a rule when it comes to dating "Don't date your co workers, especially your boss" , the problem is her high school crush is now her new boss and to make matters worse he is her best friends ex boyfriend and married. Landon maybe Texas royalty but he left that all behind to become a professional golfer, he got married and moved away, but an injury and a wife who gives him nothing but grieve brings him back home and face to face with the girl he has crushed after for so many years. Will he convince Heidi to break her rule on dating and will his ex wife let him go, you will need to read the book to find that out. This book had me right from the first chapter, the story was feasible and I didn't want to put it down til I had read the last line,I needed to know if these two loveable characters got their HEA. This book is a romantic read with plenty of passion. Heidi is a fun sassy strong girl that knows what she wants but there is also a vulnerable side to her that she lets few people see. Landon is a caring, loving male who I fell in love with. I can't wait to read about the next Wright Sibling and I hope it's Austin's story. Brilliant job K.A. Linde.

I just love an office romance! The build up, the anticipation, gah... i just love it! KA Linde has the amazing ability to always bring us a sexy angsty read that sucks me in each and every time. We met Landon and Heidi in The Wright Brother and I couldn't wait for their own book. There was enough sexual tension that you know they would combust at any time!! Heidi is a firecracker! Quick witted and not afraid to speak her mind, She's s self sufficient and supported her self through college. She's worked hard to get where she's at with Wright Construction but she has has one rule, no dating a co-worker. Office romances are off the table for her. She's a female in a male dominated work force and she wants to earn respect based on her merits, not who she dates. When Landon arrives at Wright as an executive she knows he's now off limits... no matter what she feels for him. Landon's life is falling apart around him. His marriage is failing and is dream job is on hold because of an injury. He's has no choice but to return home and take a position with Wright Construction. But with that, it also puts him face to face with the one he cannot get out of this head. He knows he should fall for Heidi. He knows he should focus on getting his life together but the pull he has towards Heidi is something he cannot resist. Can the two work together just a friends? Will Landon be able work his magic and charm to get to Heidi? What about her no dating in the office policy?? Will the two risk it all? Will the wrongs outweigh the Wrights (wink wink)?? You'll need to read to find out!! Highly recommend The Wright Boss!!

After reading The Wright Brother , I knew that I had to read The Wright Boss right after that. Though they are not necessarily part of a series, you can read about previous characters that are feature in this book. Landon Wright has been through a lot in the past couple of years, not only is his marriage driving him crazy, but his career has come to a halt making him unable to do what he loves the most. Now he is back home and after having a steamy encounter with Heidi, his ex's best friend, things start to get complicated. He can't stop thinking about her, but the remainder that he is still married make things a whole lot worse especially when Heidi feels the same way for him. They know that their relationship can't go any further. It is then that Landon decides to divorce his wife, the only problem is that his wife doesn't want to divorce him and now he happens to be Heidi's new boss. As the two start to get to know more about each other it slowly becomes evident that neither one is ready to let go of their feelings towards one another. The only question now is just how ready they are to truly leave everything behind to be together. Heidi has worked hard to be where she is now in her career, when a new promotion presents itself to her, she knows that she has what it takes to get the job done. Needless to say, she wasn't prepared to find herself in love with her new boss. One of her rules is to not involve herself romantically with anyone at work, and now things with Landon could potentially hurt her professionally. As the two begin to develop deeper feelings towards each other, the more she questions if putting her job at risk is worth it or not. I really enjoyed reading the dynamic between the characters in this book. Heidi is a talented and strong woman. She knows what she wants and knows exactly how to get it, but that all changes when she meets Landon. He is not only kind to her, but also knows the value of having a career. As a professional golf player, he knows how important is it to maintain a good career, but that doesn't last very long because after having an injury he had to stop playing. Facing career problems as well as personal problems with his marriage has taken its toll on him. The characters will have to learn to leave everything behind and learn to compromise if they want a future together. Overall, the author did a good job making the characters relatable and the ending was so sweet that it will most definitely leave you wanting for more. I would highly recommend reading this book and The Wright Brother as well. :) ***ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.***

As an avid KA Linde follower and reader, I am always excited for her next release and what she will bring to each book. In The Wright Boss, we get a story full of so much flirty fun and the angst you come to expect out of Kyla, that this book was just a blast to read! Her writing is truly unique and she never lets me down in the stories she puts out! Whether it is a tale of Cyrene in Mystical land, or Heidi in Lubbock Texas, I know when I pick up one of her books, I won’t be disappointed and I will be pulled into the world she has imagined for us. In the first book we met Emery and Jensen, and in this book we get her best friend Heidi’s story; which just so happens to be the story of the youngest Wright brother as well, Landon. It was fun getting to see where Emery and Jensen are, as well as some of the other characters I fell in love with in the first book, The Wright Brother. The book opens to a High School reunion that Landon and Heidi are both attending. Having known each other for years, sparks begin to fly between the pair at the reunion. However, with him just stating to Heidi he was going to be leaving his wife, Heidi backs away knowing she can’t get wrapped up in being a part of someone’s’ infidelity. Her past with her parents is still too fresh and she refuses to be THAT woman. She is drawn to Landon and no doubt attracted to him, but won’t allow herself to go down that path. Landon is determined to leave his wife for good and make Heidi his, but doesn’t know just how to go about that. His wife is a pain and divorcing her makes for a major plot point throughout the entire book! It even adds in a little angst and plot twist at a certain point in the book I really didn’t’ see coming. When he returns to Lubbock a short time later to attempt reconciliation with Heidi, and become her boss at Wright Construction, he didn’t see it playing out the way it did. He thought his affairs were in order, and he could move in to attempt to start something with Heidi. She however, was still very skeptical of him and even though she knows she wants him, she questions his truthfulness about it as well as her own feelings about the entire situation. Once things start to play out, everything moves very quickly in the story. I couldn’t put this book down and read it in one quick sitting staying up til the middle of the night, which is very normal for KA Linde book, but this book I just HAD to find out how this would all pay out and couldn’t stop. I was addicted very quickly and needed to see what would happen with Heidi and Landon. I loved Landon’s sincere and kind personality, yet very strong alpha traits he had! Heidi was a very strong, yet guarded character. When things start to unfold about her family and past, I really was so emotionally connected to her and was rooting for her to get the guy! Landon’s past with the PGA and his back injury, also adds very sad and emotional moments for him throughout the book as well. The mix of everything KA Linde has put into this story was nothing shy of perfection. We get the angst, passion and fun glimpses of other characters we have met before, and characters we hope to see more of in the future. I can’t wait for the next book and to see who the real Austin truly is! I was gifted a copy of this book from the author, and have provided this voluntary review!

Landon Wright is on a bad run. A professional golfer unable to play due to a back injury, he finds himself working in the family construction business. But the injured back is only one reason why Landon fled his home base of Tampa for his hometown of Lubbock. Landon also fled his wife, the vituperative Miranda, a woman liked by no one, certainly not anyone in his family. There might be another reason why Landon is back in town, and that reason might be sitting in a cubicle outside of his new office: Heidi, the best friend of Landon’s ex-girlfriend Emery, who is now dating Landon’s older brother Jensen. Landon shared a passionate kiss with her over New Year’s, but his marriage kind of got in the way of anything really developing between the two. Landon is back now, though, and intent on a divorce. That he is also Heidi’s boss presents no small problem, thanks to a corporate policy forbidding romantic fraternization. Can you stop passion once the fuse has been lighted? And what happens if you can’t? K. A. Linde ramps up the tension, making you wonder how Landon and Heidi will overcome the obstacles they face in order to be together. Because you know they will be together. One thing Linde does exceptionally well is show you how strongly Landon and Heidi connect, and I don’t mean only with their naughty bits. She shows how deeply Landon cares for Heidi, whose heartache over a family situation causes her tremendous burdens. The only way he can reveal this is through the sexy times the two share. Let’s just say that Landon Wright is a GIVER, grls. So allow me to suggest that you strap on those vibrators because K. A. Linde delivers some killer quiver. Landon does have back troubles, but he’s able to work around them most deliciously. Linde also continues developing the relationship between Austin, the third Wright brother, and Julia, the head of human resources for Wright Construction. But the focus here is on Heidi and Landon. To be together, they have to problem solve several issues, not the least of which is his role as her boss. If the resolution feels a little convenient, you can forgive Linde for wanting to give her couple the happy ending they deserve.

Landon Wright is a professional golfer and, in a very revel way that I admire, refuses to be part of his family’s business. Throughout the story there’s several puns of the main character’s last name that I constantly found hilarious. Landon’s life, on the other hand, was far from perfect. Due to an injury, he’s unable to play golf for a while and eventually has to work in the company he rather not be, his family’s. In his personal life he was unhappily married to a complete monster, one that was constantly manipulating him into staying together, until he finally realizes their marriage isn’t worth his time and effort. While he is still married Landon finds comfort on an old acquaintance, Heidi Martin. She is a very strong and independent woman that happenes to fall in love with a very complicated man. As they both know they should, they stay as far as possible from each other. Or rather until Landon seeks her out when he leaves his wife, but Heidi doesn’t believe him for a second. It takes real effort from Landon to convince her that he divorcing for once and for all. Since the beginning their attraction is palpable. K.A. Linde makes it easy for the reader to feel their conflicted emotions. Suddenly Landon is appointed as the person in charge of Heidi’s department and he becomes The Wright Boss. She has a very strict policy of not dating the boss, but when Landon becomes her boss we can’t blame her for bending the rules. Unfortunately that policy doesn’t only apply to Heidi’s life, but to the Wright company. Landon and she make the sensible thing and try to keep their relationship platonic... try being the key word of the statement. There’s several scenes that I love about the story. I personally admire how sure Landon was of his feelings toward Heidi, specially since he just came out of a very nasty relationship. Heidi on her part struggles with the relationship. Landon is her best friend’s (and roommate's) high school boyfriend, which was forever ago. I respect that Heidi is concerned for her friend’s feelings, more so because apparently their relationship didn’t end in the best therms. But what readers learn in The Wright Brother is that her friend actually falls in love and starts dating Landon’s brother. The Wright’s family dynamics is very interesting. I kept wondering what happened in the previous book since Landon’s brother and ex-girlfriend are an important part of the plot. I have to clarify that I didn’t need the information from the precious book to understand or enjoy this one, but since I’m super curious (and by that I mean nosy) I’d like to read the previous book to have all the information about this interesting family. Overall The Wright Boss is a story that’s sexy, funny and easy to read. I enjoyed it from beginning to end. There were some part of the book that had me really mortified, I kept expecting someone to find them out in their amorous escapades and I did and didn’t want to turn the page to learn if they were going to get caught. I know I’ll be reading the rest of the series soon and encourage anyone to read it too. Totally recommended! *I recieved a complementary copy of the book in exchange of an honest review*

TBH during the first book when Landon and Heidi’s story was being setup, I really didn’t know how I’d be ok with the fact that Landon had dated her BFF. Call it a double standard but its how I felt. Well…that’s how I felt UNTIL I read the first line of TWBoss. That was one of the best lines and it immediately endeared me to Landon. Unfortunately, saying you want to rid yourself of the most toxic person in your life and actually being able to accomplish that are two entirely different things. Sadly for Landon and Heidi that is a huge obstacle in their relationship. I really enjoyed their story and I couldn’t wait to pick it back up after my work day. The last chapter healed my heart and the epilogue melted it. I cannot wait for the next book because I have no doubt that Austin is going to be on big hot mess and I’m looking forward to every second of it.

4 stars for - The Wright Boss - a complete stand-alone about another member of this Texas family which we have come to love and adore. The Wright family gives new meaning to the term dysfunctional but when push comes to shove they all join together to find solutions to the problems whether they be internal or external. This time around it's Landon's chance at happiness, but he has a long way to go to make that happen. Heidi Martin is one of the hardest working engineers at Wright construction and enjoys excelling in her male dominated field. Heidi has been crushing on the worst possible person as of late and decides to forget about him once and for all when it is announced that she will have a new boss and as luck would have it is the man that stars in every one of her dreams. Thank god Heidi has strict rules about never dating anyone she works with. Landon Wright is done with his wretched shrew of a wife and moves back home to Lubbock to not only physically heal from his injuries, but mentally heal from his divorce. Landon has wanted Heidi for as long as he can remember, but now that he is her boss, company policy prohibits that from happening. The attraction that he has for her though is incredible and he doesn't know how long he will be able to resist. This was a smoking hot, sexy love story that was incredibly easy to read. All the members of the Wright family were present and accounted for in this one and we even got a glimpse of things to come with Austin. I can't wait to see where she goes with the next story since things were looking rather intense :)

There is something about the Wright family that I have completely fallen for. Landon intrigued me in the first book, so I couldn't wait to read his story. Landon and Heidi have a connection. They grew up together and Heidi was the best friend to Landon's high school girlfriend. Now Emery is dating Landon's best friend and Landon is married, but his marriage is on the rocks. When he realizes that Heidi is who he wants in his life, he finds the strength to finally cut the cord on his marriage. Heidi knows that dating Landon could be all sorts of messy, but she takes a chance on him and on them. The author's writing in this story is flawless. I love that we met these characters in the first book and this book continues to build on the family and their bond. It can be read as a stand alone book, but I think if you read The Wright Brother, it really will enhance the read for you. This family is a strong, bonded family and I hope they all get a story! Great read!

From the outside, the Wrights seem to have a perfect life. Power and money are in abundance but they seem to have lacked one important factor all their lives. LOVE! For this reason they grew up wild, traumatized and empty. Whether male or female there is never a lack of alpha tendencies, strong personalities are a MUST with this brood. They may not always see eye to eye but when it matters most they have each others backs. What a family. The Wright Boss adds fuel to an already fiery series with spicy characters, wicked dialogue and turbulent emotions. Nobody does complicated like the Wright family. Strong men, opinionated women and heated slightly taboo attractions. Easy is not the way a Wright plays the game, they play for keeps. Ms. Linde came to win and she hit it out of the park with Landon and his siren of a love interest Heidi.
