There's A Book In Here Somewhere
Funny -- and true -- these stories of growing up in Brooklyn in the '60s and '70s are full of urban high jinks and misadventure. You'll meet Nana, the cursing Jewish grandmother; Jeff, whose rooftop was best for dropping eggs on pedestrians below; Lola, the ebullient cleaning woman from the South; Aunt Goldie, "Jackie Gleason with breasts;" and Mort, the father, who says of his son's book, "I would have picked different stories." These kids knew how to keep life interesting. They're the kids you're glad you didn't have.
