The.Tatt2man.Chronicles

In 1996 there are no instant messaging, the social network as we know it today. Fast meant waiting a day to receive an email copy instead of just seconds. Gay life was still very much in the closet and the mailing list and chat rooms were hidden in secrecy.
This collection centres around my hidden relationship with a priest while coping with the decline in health of my long-time companion. You weren't husband and husband back then.

Fate is a strange beast that can take you to the brink of disaster and then, with a slight twist, pull you back and help you overcome the trials and adversity in life.
I experienced a number of “what if’s” during the crisis I faced in 1996 which tested my resolve and endurance.

What helped me keep my sanity when all things around me were falling apart was corresponding with others on the internet. Email and internet chat rooms were the glue that helped me: share my feelings and heartache; document the events; and keep a level head.
