There are two kinds of people, Scary Story People and Wimps. If you are a wimp for scary stories do not read on, for these books are only for the scary story people at heart. These spine tingling scary stories are written by the marvelous Mr. Coughin. Mr. Coughin has written these scary stories and illustrated all of the creepy pictures. These books are amazing heart-stopping stories for the undead. My favorite story is "El Cuco". "Be strong my son, be good." "El Cuco" is about a boy's father who tells him this story about an evil being who comes for bad little boys. One night his father tells him that El Cuco lives in the hole in the wall. Little Johnny tells his mother (he's a mama's boy) and tells her that his dad told him El Cuco lives in the hole. She made his dad patch the hole. When the dad patches the hole, Johnny calls El Cuco a name he doesn't like, Cuckoo. That night, little Johnny...disappeared! Scared? If you were scared, these books are not for you. If you were screaming for more you will definitely enjoy his books.

One very dark morning the river was haunted...and Mr. Coughin was there writing his marvelous stories. He is an amazing author because he write lost of bone-scary stories. His heart stopping stories are wetting your pants scary. The nightmare worth stories are spine-chilling. My favorite story is Yo Mama's Right Here. The dad's name is Jacob and the mom's name is Mary. They have two kids. Jacob had a bad dream about a dead woman standing in the river and saying, "Yo Mama's Right Here." He woke up his wife by accident and told her to go back to sleep. Jacob woke up early the next day. They were taking their wagon across the river. They were half through and a woman was standing in front of the ox! Who was she? Read the book to find out!
