***** THIEF OF HEARTS: UNMASKED - PART II in the Thief of Hearts Saga*****

How could Zaina have made such a horrible mistake?

Lord Hood, her good and noble master, hovers between life and death because of Zaina’s betrayal. In order to save him, she must make a deal with a scale-covered-dragon-wielding witch—a potion to heal Hood in exchange for a vow to assassinate a king.

However Zaina may never get the chance to fulfill her mercenary task, for once Hood awakes—healed by black magic—darkness festers inside his soul and Zaina finds herself on the wrong end of the sharp tip of his sword. Not only is she fighting for her life, she must continue to keep her true identity a secret, no matter what her feelings are for Hood. If anyone should find out who she truly is, all those she loves will find themselves at the mercy of a horde of merciless dragons.

Part III - Thief of Hearts: Avenged
Also available in all three parts in THIEF OF HEARTS - The Complete Saga!

Really great writing. You're pulled right into the story, and the actipn never stops. Characters are great and individual, and we get to know them and more of them as time goes on. Somehow the author manages to convey this sense that there is more that we don't know yet about them and there is a bit of a mystery there, enough to intrigue you to want to know more. You know there are hidden depths to the characters and you wait with anticipation for new things to unfold. The story is vaguely based on the legend of Robin Hood, but very little is the same as that story. The author has taken the premise and turned it into something completely different. There is a love story here, too, and what a love story! It comes when you don't expect it, and has some of the most loving, tender scenes I've ever seen in print. Warning- this has mature love scenes and some mature themes about the baser depravities that occur in the world, so it is for an adult audience only. Beyond high school. What I love about the love scenes is that the author hasn't lost sight of the truth that this is an action story and a love story, and the things that happen in the love scenes are a realistic expression of that love. The author writes these scenes in such a beautiful way that there is nothing short of love being expressed. We also have the contrast of the rest of the world with some of it's depravities, and it's quite clear in the story that gratuitous sex and selfish pleasure seeking with no concern for anyone else is NOT love, but anathema to love. Great story. I do wish the trend among authors to split one story up into parts for ebooks would stop, though. You need to buy three books to complete this story. Each one is only part of the story, with no completion of the original plot until you've read all three.
