About the Author

As an Best Selling Author, I have always been an avid reader. I joke that I "cut my romance teeth" on the old bodice ripper romance books. In 2013 I started a blog to showcase wonderful writers. In 2014, I finally gave in to the characters in my head pleading for their story to be told. Thus, Emma's Home was created.
My first novel, Emma's Home became an Best Seller in 3 categories within the first month of publishing. Its success was followed by the rest of the Fairfield Series and then led into the Love's Series.
My books are filled with sweet romance and hot sex; mystery, suspense, real life characters and situations. My heroes are alphas, take charge men who love the strong, independent women they fall in love with.
When not writing, I worked as a counselor in a high school and have been involved in education for the past 30 years. I have just retired and look forward to more time with family and writing!
I have been married to a wonderfully patient man for 34 years and have 2 adult, very supportive daughters.
When writing, my dog or one of my cats will usually be found in my lap!
I love to hear from readers, so please email me!

4.5 star review of Thin Ice (Sleeper Seals #7) by Maryann Jordan This is book 7 in the Sleeper Seals story and can be read as a stand alone. I know this as I have not read any of the previous books in the series. I enjoy reading books in the romantic suspense genre and this was a good example of a well developed story line. I enjoyed the intrigue and action mixed with the romance. When Logan (Preacher) Bishop agrees to run a mission in Alaska to monitor a new ISIS cell he is surprised when he is teamed up with security specialist Vivian Sanders who works for the International Olympic Committee.; not only that but they have to pretend to be married. Logan, a former Navy Seal is extremely detail oriented whilst Vivian learns towards being more impulsive, these differences drive the other to distraction. Can these two complete opposites, find a common goal whilst fighting their attraction to each other and the obstacles that are constantly thrown in their path? Preacher is a totally Alpha, protective man who will do what ever it takes to protect her even though Vivian is a strong and feisty heroine.

4 stars I purchased a copy of the the novel Thin Ice: (Sleeper SEALs Book 7) by Maryann Jordan and this review was given freely. An attraction at first sight novel where a strong woman completes a strong man. Commander Greg Lambert's seventh recruit, retired SEAL helicopter pilot and mechanic Preacher aka Logan takes a break from his Montana tour and rescue business to stop bioterrorism in Alaska. However, receiving only a limited briefing results in an awkward first meeting with biologist Vivian Sanders. Complex and action packed with some violence as one would expect from Maryann Jordan this novel contains a satisfying romance with a lower level of steam than some of her other series making this a well balanced story that has mass appeal.

This is really good, lots of suspense and intrigue with some spy stuff included leading up to a breath holding conclusion. I loved the characters and how they gradually got to know each other while they were watching their targets, how Logan was patient in teaching Viv and explaining what he needed of her while trying to protect her from what he knew he would have to do at the end. The topic was interesting and a bit scary to think about it happening for real. The scenery around the areas the story takes place sounded awesome and stunning. Great read and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed reading this book because it is full of surprises and not the normal story line. It has action, suspense, mystery, romance, and danger. Logan is a loner that is surprised to be working closely with a female biologist on this mission. Vivian is smart, capable, and always ready to help. The author writes in such a way that you will be captivated until the very end. The end will surprise you.

This is book 7 in the Sleeper SEAL series and it features Logan and Vivian. He’s the SEAL and she’s the biologist. They’re teamed up to find out what biological weapon a terrorist cell is cooking up in a small town in Alaska. He never counted on the scientist being a beautiful woman and she never imagined what the end game would be. I loved watching Logan fall. It’s the ones that don’t want it that fall hard and fall fast. He’s the tall dark and silent type and she can’t seem to keep quiet. They are perfect together! This is a fantastic story line with great characters. The series works different from most retired SEAL series. Each SEAL is individually called upon for his mission. I can’t wait for the next one.

Vivian Sanders is a bioterrorism scientist who has been recruited to assist in determining what a group of homegrown terrorists are cooking up. She's grown bored with sitting at a desk all day and wants to try her hand at field work. Due to her Alaskan ethnicity and education, she was chosen to assist Preacher with his investigation in Alaska. She's been told that she's to pretend she and Preacher are a newly married couple. She just wished Preacher was informed! Preacher, discharged due to injury, lives the quiet life in Montana. Preacher flies tourists in his helicopter to view the beautiful landscapes of Montana. He also plans missions, but no longer participates in them. He's approached by a former Commander to plan and execute an op to exterminate a homegrown terrorist group in Alaska. Preacher arrives in Alaska assuming the scientist he'll be working with is male. He darn sure didn't know part of his cover was based on pretending to be married to the beautiful Viv Sanders. She's impulsive, not trained, and now his "wife". As they work together to eradicate danger, they find they really like each other. Deciding to live in the moment, they begin an affair with a likely "end date". Preacher knows Viv will go running for the hills once she finds out his true mission--kill the terrorists, not arrest them. Will they be able to stop the terrorists before they spread a deadly virus AND be able to build a life together? While the Sleeper Seals novels are stand-alone novels that can be read in any order, Maryann Jordan's novel is loosely linked to her other series. The suspense had me on the edge of my seat. It was a fast-paced, suspenseful romance. I loved that real life issues, such as PTSD and bioterrorism were discussed. I also LOVED that Viv wasn't a weak, whiny, clingy woman. She was strong, smart, and funny. The perfect couple! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

I have read all of Maryann Jordan's books and after every one I think this one might be my favorite, but I think Thin Ice might actually be my favorite! Logan and Vivian's story kept me engaged from the very beginning. I loved how these two fell for each other on the job. Maryann always writes great alpha men, but there was something about Logan that really called to me. This story had me crying and hoping that it wouldn't end. I'm so excited for the rest of the Sleeper Seals! If they are all this good, I will have a lot of sleepless nights!

This is book 7 in the Sleeper SEALS series. The series is based on a group of retired Navy SEALs recruited by the government to work solo dark/black ops missions. The common thread is their commander, Greg Lambert. He is the one responsible in recruiting each retired SEAL. This book centers around Logan/Preacher Bishop and Vivian Sanders. Logan had to retired due to a knee injury incurred during an extraction in a mission. It cost him his career but the reason for the injury was worth it , as far as he is concerned. Now he takes tourists on helicopter rides all over Montana. Vivian or Viv as we come to know her, is a biologist and security specialist. Logan is directly recruited by Commander Greg Lamber to go to Alaska and work with a biology specialist since there is evidence of terrorist cells are working in the area producing a deadly substance. Little does he know Sanders is a woman with zero training in special ops or for that matter, any kind of mission. When they meet suffice is to say , Logan is not happy. As they work together under the disguise of being newlyweds, their relationship develops. But, Logan believes that once Viv realizes what he is ordered to do, she will not want anything to do with him. I have to say, that it’s one of the most engaging Sleeper SEALs stories I have read . The plot was complex and well developed as were the main and secondary characters. I especially enjoyed getting a one on one with Commander Greg Lambert. Up to now, he has been on the sidelines. But in this story, Ms Jordan gives him a “speaking part” and you as a reader end up wanting to know more about his background. Hopefully, one of the authors in this series will treat us with a book for him alone. Kudos to Ms Jordan for another engaging story. I was gifted this copy. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
