Dismantled centuries ago, the sword of Goliath is still rumored to thirst for its enemies' blood. Cole "Tox" Russell only wants to begin his life with Haven Cortes, but he must first complete a final mission: retrieve that sword and destroy the deadly Arrow & Flame Order.

The AFO, however, is determined to claim the sword. Wielding their father's life over Tzivia and Ram Khalon, they threaten to expose Ram's long-held and dangerous secret while demanding Tzivia locate the sword. With the Wraith team slowly being torn apart, things only worsen when Mercy Maddox, a new operative, emerges with the stunning news that the sword is tied to both Ram's secret and a string of unsolved serial murders.

Tox, Ram, and the others are forced to set aside fear and anger to focus only on the enemy. No matter the cost, Wraith must stop or take the enemy down with them.

One of those books that you’ll get to the end, close it, and just sit there in your chair, your mind and emotions left reeling. In this stunning, elegantly written conclusion to the Tox Files, Ms Ronie Kendig neatly ties up all her loose threads left from Crown of Souls and Conspiracy of Silence (COS & COS2), while still managing to introduce new characters for her readers to fall in love with. Or hate. Depending on which side they’re on. In true Ronie Kendig form, the whole novel will keep you on your toes, with sudden twists you may or may not see coming. Following on the return of Leif in the previous book, he comes into the team with attitude and swagger, and it’s just fun to watch his interaction with Wraith. There’s comedy, a la Barclay Purcell, drama, courtesy of basically everyone...and a touch of romance, thanks to a few couples. One thing I have always appreciated about Ms Kendig’s work is she’s able to keep things real, and the more tender moments never seem forced or just there for the sake of being there. It’s natural, and just as well written as the action scenes. Overall, loved the book. Total rereading session coming up soon, and it will be the whole series. They’re all just that good. Massive kudos to Ms Kendig at writing another suck you in adventure! – I received a copy of this novel from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

I was gutted at the end of Thirst of Steel, the astounding conclusion to The Tox Files. It's a good thing no one was here. Seriously, my husband would have thought I was crazy, crying over a fictional character like I did but I was totally stunned and almost sick to my stomach—the emotional tension in the final chapters was off the charts! Yes. I know that sounds unbelievable. We are talking about fiction, after all. But I think that is the sign of an unquestionably good book, when the author can draw the reader so far into story that you connect with the characters, feel invested in their lives and the choices they make or don’t make. Every book I choose to read, I hope this is the way I am going to feel. The Tox Files has been one of the best series I have read and certainly Kendig’s finest! There are many memorable characters that deserve mention. No doubt about it. But the two that impacted me most are Tox and Ram and their relationship. They are not only brothers-in-arms but brothers-in-Christ. The trust between them is unwavering. At a critical moment, they quote the Special Forces Creed to each other. As the parent of an active military member, I know firsthand the bond and allegiance that forms between compatriots and my tears flowed. Incredible amounts of energy and emotion are prevalent in Thirst of Steel. It resonates with the purest and most perfect example of well-written characters, dialogue, mystery, and sacrifice. No quarter is taken in the pacing, action or intensity of this story. Be prepared for the ride of a lifetime as Tox, Ram, and the Wraith team slake the Thirst of Steel! I was provided an electronic copy of the book from the publisher through Netgalley. I was not required to write a review. No compensation has been received.

I have never read anything by Ronie. I have seen her books but never picked it up. But I thought, why not give it a try. I like action packed books and this sounded like that. And it was. There was action left and right, page after page. In all fairness I think because I jumped into this series I had no idea who anyone was or why I should care about them. There are so many characters I just couldn’t keep them all straight. So I think I would like this book if I had started from the beginning but because of jumping in where I did I easily could walk away from it and feel no attachment. I would say start with the beginning if this series. A copy of this book was given to me through All opinions are my own.

This is book three in the Tox Files series, (four, if you count the prequel). I would suggest reading them all, and in order, to understand everything that goes on in each book. Warrior's Seal, Conspiracy of Silence, Crown of Souls and then this one, Thirst of Steel. The entire series focus on a group of soldiers with their leader being "Tox" Cole Russell. Each character has their own personality type and really play a very important role in their missions. This series is not an easy read, you will need to focus on what is going on and will probably still get a bit lost, but it will all start making more sense eventually, and be an amazing adventure. Ronnie Kendig always does such a great job at keeping the suspense, action and drama all at the forefront. I love books about our special forces, military, police force and such, and hers are some of my favorite.

The riveting conclusion to The Tox Files has arrived and it did not disappoint. Ms. Kendig wraps up the series in this high stakes finale delivering everything her readers have come to expect: an intricately developed plot that weaves Biblical and historical content with the heart-pounding adventure that drives a well-developed cast of characters to their conclusive endings leaving readers exhilarated and maybe a little (or a lot) heart-broken. As much as I adore Ms. Kendig's ability to twist and turn a plot, it's her skills bringing characters to life in a way that makes them unforgettable and undeniably authentic that I appreciate most as a reader. And while I'm sad that this team's mission is complete, I'm excited for the next group of heroes to get boots on the ground! *This is the third book in the series and I highly recommend they be read in order for the purest and most satisfactory reading experience.

As a reader, there’s only one thing I like more than a gripping beginning and that’s a slam dunk finish. OH. MY. STARS. This book far exceeded my expectations and I’m still reeling. Thirst of Steel is the final installment in the Tox Files. This is a series I have loved and that has caused several dark shadows after a late night because I couldn’t put it down. This final installment is no different. It begins with a wallop and continues apace until the epilogue. The thing about this book is that the characters creep under your skin when you aren’t looking and then all of a sudden, you’re taking every step with them, swinging every punch and ducking every attack. The complexity of the plot with its twists and turns is borderline genius, and breathtaking in scope, taking the reader from the days of David and Goliath to the most high-tech environments we could fathom. As ever, the character development only left me wanting more of these amazing heroes and it was with a significant pang that I turned the last page. Bravo Ms Kendig, bravo.

This is the third and final in the Tox Files series by Ronie Kendig. While this probably could be read as a stand alone, I recommend that you read the first two. They are all excellent. In this book, Tox has asked to leave the Wraith Black Ops team but they have one more mission for him. One that takes him on a perilous journey from Moscow, London and then Israel. The action is nonstop and you will find it hard to put the book down. As with all of Ronie Kendig's books, I found that even though this is so much action you still find yourself invested in the characters and begin to consider them friends. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review

Ever heard of a book hangover? Well, expect such experience with Ronie Kendig's Thirst of Steel. As the third and final book in The Tox Files series, Thirst of Steel is intense and O SO GOOD! Action-filled, it will make all readers thirst for more of the author's books! Interesting and multi-faceted characters with a romance that touches. Yet it was the suspenseful plot that caught my attention from beginning to end. Thrilling and heartrending, Thirst of Steel takes you on a roller-coaster ride that may very well hit all your emotions. I personally doubt my review gives this book or series the justice it deserved, since I started this series with Thirst of Steel. Though I was able to catch on without being too lost, I do felt reading the previous books in the series in succession would be ideal. However, kudos to the author for still keeping and holding the attention of a new reader of her books. Thirst of Steel stayed on my mind for quite a few days afterwards. So be prepared. Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher. I was not required to write a positive review, and have not been compensated for this. This is my honest opinion.

I couldn't imagine a more epic and emotional conclusion to The Tox Files series! I loved reading about the team members and the new details that emerged about their backstory and what motivates them, especially Ram and his sister Tzi. It's a nail-biter from the start, and the author definitely exhibits why her tagline is "rapid-fire fiction"! Literal nail-biting is the reason why I have to limit the suspense books I read, but it was so worth it. The romance between Cole and Haven bring all the feels, and I loved the connection I felt to their relationship. Even with the tension I felt while reading the different perspectives I knew would all weave together, I was caught off guard and surprised by the twists and turns of the plot. I definitely recommend reading all the books in the series in order, as they build on each other with character development. Don't miss this explosive series full of depth, action, and romance! (I received a complimentary copy of the book; all opinions in this review are my own)

I had the pleasure of receiving an ARC of the third book in this series. is a wild and exciting ride. In the beginning of this book Dr. Cathey and Tzaddik are discussing the fact that Tzivia has been sent to retrieve the pieces of the Sword of Goliath and return it to the AFO, Arrow & Flame Order. Against Ram's wishes Tzivia has caved to the "request" of the AFO because they have the sibling's father as hostage and are threatening to kill him if she does not do as they demand. Tox has gone under cover to infiltrate the AFO and dismantle once and for all. He has lost friends due to this group who seems to be bent on destroying those that get in their way. And as Haven, Tox's fiancé, continues to research Cole's and her family tree she comes across a lot of interesting twists and turns between their bloodlines as well as the twist between Ram and Cole. While Tox and the rest of his team are doing their part to find the AFO the AFO are doing their best to ensure their place as rulers in the world. No spoilers here but you may want to have some tissues ready as you get towards the end and as much as I did not want to see what happened, happen, I did agree with Ms. Kendig's path. Thank you Ronie Kendig.

Get your score card ready to keep track of who is on which side, where everyone is, and how they got there. An amazingly suspenseful story of a centuries-old battle between David and Goliath that has found its way into the modern era and still has their descendants pitted against each other. But who descended from whom? And how does anyone know whom they can trust? The Wraith team is back in action but Tox and Ram are missing. I enjoyed that the action was so intense that it kept me reading for extended periods without tiring, even though the book is much longer than many that I read. As the final book in a series, I suggest you start with the first book and read them in sequence. Most of the leading characters are introduced early in the series, so you need their background before starting this one. I definitely look forward to what the author has to offer next.

Thirst of Steel is irresistibly complex, totally captivating, and simply extraordinary! White-knuckle your way through the chapters as Tox and his allies are thrust in the midst of an epic centuries-old battle of physical and spiritual warfare.  Despite the rather large size of this story's cast, each individual possesses a unique identity and vital role in the mission. The community and comradery among these men and women is a powerful force to be admired and inspired by. I highly recommend this series and eagerly anticipate future works within this genre from author Ronie Kendig! I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and was under no obligation to post a review. The opinions expressed are my own.

Excellent conclusion of one of my favorite series! I was so happy to finally get back to Tox and his team. And Haven. Kendig did not disappoint in this final book in the Tox Files series. She brought all my favorite (and not favorite) characters to life on the pages of Thirst of Steel. The plot line was brilliant. The suspense high. The emotions raw. A surprising conclusion which brought heartbreak and satisfaction at the same time. I stayed up till 2:30am to finish reading - something I rarely do, so that means something. The author did an exceptional job. High praises for Kendig's talented storytelling!

I have been following this series from the beginning and anxiously awaiting this last installment. It dragged me through so many emotions, ups and downs, tears and joy! Every expectation was met and exceeded in this roller coaster ride of a story. The characters have become friends by this time and I really didn’t want to see them go or have them go through so many trials. *cue whiny voice* How am I supposed to let go of Tox and Haven now?! The surprises and twists throw me every time – chases, bullets, arrows, espionage, secrets, lies, danger, death, disguises, surprises, and sprinkles of romance. The ending will wring every emotion from your heart and leave you with a major book hangover. She dives deep into detail, stays sharp on danger, kicks it with military precision dialogue – all beautifully woven into a bookshelf keeper. Another winner from this talented author!

Ronie Kendig delivers another gripping, heart-pounding, wrenching story in this final emotionally intense book of The Tox Files series. Brimming with suspense and intrigue and populated with amazing, engaging, and multi-layered characters, this book kept me on the edge of my seat and trying to figure out what the author was going to put those characters through next and how she was going to get them out of the most agonizing situations. In addition to racing back and forth across the globe with dizzying speed, they had to contend with evil adversaries intent on doing away with them. I enjoyed the spots of humor and romance that both added to the storyline and gave some needed emotional relief from the tension and suspense of the story. Kendig is masterful at achieving a balance in her books. The only minor problem I had with Thirst of Steel, and the rest of The Tox Files stories, is the use of so many acronyms. I would sometimes have to stop and try to remember what they stood for, and it would pull me momentarily out of the story. There were also many military words and expressions that I was not familiar with, and they added a little bit of confusion. If you haven’t read the other books in the series, I suggest you do so before starting this one. Although it could technically be a standalone, you’ll need the background from the others to fully appreciate Thirst of Steel. I would recommend this book and series to those who enjoy mind-blowing action and suspense. I’m sad to see this series come to an end but excited to see what Kendig has in mind for her next book. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy from the publisher/NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

What a wild ride! I can’t believe this series is over. We’ve come so far together! I feel like so much was packed into this conclusion. I’m going to miss the crew. But enough of my emotional opinion. Once again Kendig has done all the right things. Character development. Painting the scene vividly. My favorite thing is her use of great words. This author uses her thesaurus and it makes her writing so much more detailed and adds so much depth. I am still reeling. I could go on for days but the conclusion is to buy and read these because they’re amazing. Just the right balance of action and romance. Perfectly placed cliffs and a squad I wish I was apart of. Well done! *I was gifted a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own *

This book . . . wow! I am not sure that I can adequately describe how amazing it is. Ronie Kendig is fabulous at writing suspense and mystery so that the reader has absolutely no idea what is coming. Every page is a surprise. I love that! I highly recommend this book, but would tell you to read the previous books in the series first, as they are also great, and they introduce you to the characters.

I love these characters. All of them. Getting to know them better over the course of the series and watch how they’ve grown and developed has been awesome. I'm not sure I'd call them friends because most of them terrify me, but they're like a comfortable super intense skin. I have been waiting for Ram's story from the very beginning; rooting for his HEA. There are some twists and it didn't end how I thought it would, but it ended well. You know that feeling when you finish a story and you just sit there with your mouth kind of open going "wow?" That's this story. Be forewarned that this book is going to hit all your feels. Ms. Kendig is a talented storyteller who pulls you into the characters' lives so well that you feel all of the events with them. With every book in this series, I've been a little more in awe of how Ms. Kendig can take a Biblical story and weave it into a fictional account, threading the struggle of real faith in a hard world throughout. Her characters aren't perfect Christians - they're gritty and honest. I'm really hoping we can revisit some of the more minor characters in another series. If you've never tried military suspense, I hope you will give Tox and the other members of Team Wraith a try! I received a copy of this novel, but this is my honest opinion.

This book is a roller coaster ride from page one!! Thirst of Steel is the conclusion to the Tox Files series by Ronie Kendig. This time Tox and team are on the hunt for the sword of Goliath. Be prepared for lots of plot twists along the way!! There were definitely some things I never saw coming!! As readers have come to expect in a Ronie Kendig novel, what begins is an adventure full of military action, Biblical history, mysterious artifacts, just the right amount of romance, and more. It is apparent that Ms. Kendig has done extensive research for this series. Although you could read this as a standalone novel, I would recommend reading Conspiracy of Silence and Crown of Souls first if you haven't already since this novel picks up where the last one left off. I was given a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

Thirst of Steel, book three in the Tox Files series by Ronie Kendig, is a brilliant and stunning conclusion to this military thrillers series. Mysterious and violent deaths of seemingly unconnected victims lead team Wraith to the deadly Arrow & Flame Order and to an ancient “rumor”—the dismantled sword of Goliath still thirsts for the blood of its enemies. This most dangerous mission yet challenges the team more than any other, with much more at stake to them. Personal involvements present complications and risks, like none experienced before. The intense, non-stop action and the enigmatic connection of Tox to David and the sword of Goliath hurtle the reader to a thrilling and dynamic resolution. I highly recommend Thirst of Steel and the entire Tox Files series to fans of military thrillers. I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I have so many thoughts about this book. First off, Kendig was able to push her characters to new limits. The situations they were put into, how they reacted to them, shows that she knows her characters and wishes to push them and help them grow as if they were real people. And they definitely feel real. I was ecstatic, infuriated, shocked, crushed, and so many other things by the characters, their situations, and how they reacted to things. So many things had me biting my nails as I read as fast as I could to see where the new plot twist went. My heart was racing as the characters worked to complete each of their own agendas that all intertwined in the end. Though I’m sad that this series is over, I was satisfied with how the story ended for Tox. Bravo Kendig on another fantastic and thrilling book.

Thirst of Steel is the amazing, action-packed, and emotional conclusion to the Tox Files series. This is definitely a series that I recommend reading all of the books in order. You will fall in love with these strong, intense characters! The author, once again, did an amazing job of combining fast paced military action and suspense with a beautiful love story. All through the book I swooned over Cole and Haven’s feelings for each other. It has been building throughout the previous stories and Thirst of Steel is the culmination of that romantic thread and it is so very well written. I could feel the pain of when they had to be apart. The undercover work, along with the dangerous situations that so many of the characters are thrown into, kept me eagerly turning pages to see what happened next. The twists and turns in this novel had me holding my breath as events spiraled to a dramatic end. Thirst of Steel was a thrilling ride that looked deep inside the hearts of many of the characters that readers have been following throughout this fantastic series. I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Word to the Wise: This book does contain some darker characters and themes. I'm not going to say that "its not for the faint of heart" but be advised, there is a complexity and realness to these characters. What's the Skinny:I received a copy of this novel from the publisher. All opinions are my own. Usually, I find communicating in memes to be quite annoying, but I'm still speechless and this book did a number on me. I still have not recovered. This is the last installment in The Tox Files series. It comes with all the same characters we know and love (yes, I binged this series hardcore) with some new ones that are irresistible. The Wraith Team is back at it again with the same quick witted banter, jealousy, and deep dark secrets. The action was fast paced and the story moves along, keeping you engaged every step of the way. Ronie Kendig brings a refreshing outlook to the table by creating characters that are wrestling with very real life situations, emotions, and spiritual questions. She has created heroes that move and function like superheroes but have to work through issues of love- from God, romantically, and brotherly. My face after reading this book I would LOVE to tell you I loved the ending. That it was perfection and everything I ever wanted in a series that made me dream happy thoughts, but I cried. Yup, I cried tears and my husband quietly consoled me probably wondering why I continue to read books that take my emotions out of control. The fantastic notion about the ending of this book is that it wraps up well, you feel the characters shock and pain every step of the way. Extra bonus was being able to get more perspectives from other characters as they went on their journey, ultimately leading them together for a final bang! I highly recommend reading this series just so you can read this last book because OH EM GHEE!

The final installation in the Tox Files. The search for Goliath's sword will take the Wraith team across continents and end with a reenactment of the famous David and Goliath battle. Friendships and loyalties are tested through this quest. This was an emotional book because I got to know the characters from the previous two books and Ram is my favorite, a Mossad agent, this is his story. Ronie creates very real characters that make you become emotionally involved, you will find yourself laughing with them, getting angry, and even crying with them. This book is full of action, suspense, humor, military issues, and a little romance and don't forget the archeological aspect. Definitely one to be read again.
