Overview

There's no denying trouble finds Rose Gardner like a divining rod finds water, especially when Rose lands in the middle of a bank robbery. But after the robbers steal her deposit bag--containing a large amount of cash--she soon finds out that trouble is threatening her business as well, thanks to her sister Violet's financial mismanagement.

To top it off, Rose's ex-boyfriend, Joe Simmons, has moved back to Henryetta to fill the chief deputy sheriff position. Rose's involvement as a witness is the perfect opportunity for Joe to reinsert himself into her life. But Mason Deveraux, Fenton County Assistant District Attorney and Rose's new boyfriend, has waited too long for Rose to give her up without a fight.

Rose's pregnant best friend, Neely Kate, suggests they find the robbers using Rose's visions and Neely Kate's knowledge about everyone in town. The women are soon hot on the trail of the stolen money, but Rose is caught off guard when Neely Kate's snoopiness detects the biggest complication of all: Rose might be expecting a baby of her own.

Oh Denise. Why do you torture me so? I am #TeamJoe all the way! I thought Thirty-One was bad on my heart. SHEESH! Denise keeps reeling me in. This installment of Rose is brilliant.  Rose has finally grown a pair and seeing her growth since Twenty-Eight is a wonderful thing. Once again, Rose finds herself in the middle of mayhem. What she does to get out of it...well, you'll have to read to find out! This installment of Rose Gardner does NOT disappoint. In fact, it has to be one of my favorites of them all! <3

One of my favorites! This is tied for my favorite book in my absolute favorite series, the Rose Gardner Mysteries. I love seeing how Rose’s character has grown so much over the past few books and it is extremely evident in this book. I feel like this is the turning point in the series where Rose starts to find out who she really is and I couldn’t be happier for her. The author makes me feel like I know the characters personally and I’m right there with them throughout the book, which is full of the typical excitement and suspenseful events like the other books in this wonderful series. I will be re-reading this book for years to come!

The best so far… Once again, Rose seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. While her current boyfriend, Mason, supports her, her ex-boyfriend, Joe, thinks she has somehow caused the trouble herself. Rose inadvertently gest mixed up in the Henrietta underground crime world while trying to recover her stolen money. We meet other interesting characters and get to know Neely Kate even more. So far this was my favorite book in the series partly because Rose really demonstrates her strength and her ability to stand up to other characters, even her sister. I love this series.

Complications are right! New love, an untrustworthy sister, a bank robbery and an old love in town equals a lot of drama and complications. As Rose grows as a woman, real life issues are surfacing for her. I love how Rose has moved into her mother’s farmhouse and that her relationship with Mason is becoming more serious. As much as I like Joe, I feel like Mason is a better match for Rose. Mason celebrates and support the woman she is and wants to be. With Joe back in town, we are forced with the inevitable “Love Triangle.” I know you need drama in a book and this is one of the ways to have that. I can see the reason behind this love triangle because there are a number of unresolved issues between Rose and Joe; however, there were times when I wanted to say to Joe, “just let it go and let her be.” Oh and I cannot forget big sister, Violet. Denise truly knows how to get our emotions flowing with that relationship. Being able to write a character that can be so sweet, loving and supportive one minute and then catty, manipulative and disrespectful another minute is a true gift. Another great read!

Rose, on top of getting herself into the middle of a bank robbery, has to deal with a jealous ex-boyfriend who hasn't quite let go, a best friend who is all to willing to help her get into a little trouble, and Fenton County's king of the underworld....which, really? Would we expect anything less when Rose is involved? Another page turner that will leave you cheering, yelling, cursing, and laughing....with a side of mystery.

I love this series!!! If you haven't read this series, start from the beginning and I promise you will enjoy them all. Denise has a way of drawing you into the book and making you feel the emotions of the characters. I feel like I'm going through all of this with Rose. I have debates with myself over what should happen in the book and series. If you read them you can join a discussion group on Facebook and discuss/obsess over the book with all the other dedicated Rose followers.

Being a Rose Gardner fan, I have read the series and enjoyed each one. These are light, humorous stories which entertain without too much mental exertion. Thirty-Two and Half Complications is no exception.

I love this series. While the first four books revolve around murder, this book sets Rose on a new path; one that gets really complicated with her two boyfriends.   Fun fun fun!

My my my, how Rose has grown. So amazing to see the confident woman she has become since 28 and 1/2. She knows what she wants and she is sticking by it. Rose doesn't let people push her around, friend or foe. However, she never disappoints in the multi-tasking, adventurous department. Robberies, babies, business decisions, visions, complications...Her plate is full. Thank goodness she has Jonah to help her organize her thoughts; and Mason to support her decisions. However, she has Violet, Joe and the robbers to thank for her complications; but was that a pregnancy test falling out of her purse??? Through this entire series you will never be disappointed. Denise reels you in at the first sentence and you're hooked until the last line. Can never get enough of this crappy doodles fun!!!!
