Merging the unbridled ferocity of death metal with highly technical metalcore, All Shall Perish create an interesting balance of recklessness and restraint on their fourth album, This Is Where It Ends. The band finds an interesting middle ground between the two styles, allowing just enough raw aggression into the music to keep it from feeling too sterile, but not enough that it feels like things are going completely off the rails. This sound is definitely one that will appeal more to metalcore fans than death metal purists, but has enough punishing, lightning-fast riffage that it might make grudging converts out of some of the gore-obsessed diehards out there.

I have liked All Shall Perish for a while now, and had not yet owned anything by them until having bought this album just after it's release. I had heard a couple of songs online and loved em...as if I wasn't already impressed with them from before. I picked up this album and pumped it in my car all afternoon while I ran some errands. Blew me away! If you want some quality intense technical death metal, I highly recommend checking out this album. Major shred factor!
