The authors, a futurist and an artist, spent the first four years of this de cade traveling the country and inter viewing women, whom they see as bringing a new vision of the future into being by the way they live their lives in the present. This book is a dis tillation of what they found: women forming new kinds of families; creat ing new forms of art; plotting new po litical models; restoring the natural balances and rhythms of the planet; redefining roles, relationships, respon sibilities. Their sketches of these women's activities and philosophies are tantalizingly brief. But taken to gether, they provide ample evidence of the positive effects of the feminist movement and its possibilities for cre ative change. Illustrations are of wom en's art work and excellent.
