Harold Klemp describes the many spiritual masters who are available to work with each of us, regardless of what path we walk. This is life changing.

Sri Harold Klemp, the current Mahanta, the Living ECK Master of the path of Eckankar helps us become more familiar with an unbroken line of Spiritual Mastership through his latest book Those Wonderful ECK Masters. The experiences of many Souls are presented here as they make contact with those who have dedicated their lives to helping us open our hearts to awareness of the ECK, the Holy Spirit, which is Sound and Light. Through Dream experiences (which Sri Harold makes clear in his earlier book 'Past Lives, Dreams and Soul Travel' are real experiences in the higher planes), and Soul Travel, we can be aware of ourselves as immortal Soul and realize we don't have to wait until the death of the physical body to explore life in the other worlds. Maybe you'd like to try a simple spiritual exercise-close your eyes, gently place your attention on your third eye (between and behind your eyebrows) and sing HU (like 'Hue'), long and drawn out. Ask for help, and be assured that an answer is always given. Perhaps Gopal Das, Fubbi Quantz, Paul Twitchell or another ECK Master will come to your aid if you're ready, in Harold's words, 'for the knowledge that grants love, wisdom, and spiritual freedom'.

Here's a quote from the book found on page 211: 'Actual inner experiences help one move to a greater understanding of the ways of divine revelation. But if he chooses to hang on to shopworn karmic debts due to, say, an inability to control some mental passion or habit like anger, then his spiritual momentum stops. It's that simple. Of course, a headstrong follower always tries to fix blame on the Mahanta, the Living ECK Master when his attempts to advance in ECK come to nothing. But such an attitude changes nothing. The individual is a loser and will continue to be a loser until he adopts the practices of a winner. I'm used to such misdirected slings. They go with my position. I realize that at some point an individual will break free of his holding pattern and again soar higher. It's when he's seen that all responsibility for his unfoldment lies with him alone.' This quote gives a peek into the real Eckankar cult which is very controling through subtle psychological tactics. As one can see, the real Mr. Klemp is not very loving nor does he like his followers to question his authority. On first glance Eckankar seems harmless enough, however, after years the controls tend to make the individual more dependent upon the Mahanta for every action in the followers life. By the way, the Mahanta (Klemp) is a 14th Initiate and the 'God' of all other religions is seen as either a 2nd Astral Plane or a 4th Mental Plane God. However, Eckankar will use the term 'God' when talking of theirs (SUGMAD).
