Thoughts Can Be Murder
A former policeman, convicted of being a mole is found shot to death near the Philadelphia docks. The mayor is furious since his election is coming up and slams the police department to solve this crime quickly in order to make himself look better. But matters only get worse as an upstanding citizen, wife and mother is missing and all leads fail to bring any results. Sammi Evans and her husband Detective Dave Patterson are called in. Together they get results. Sammi has a special talent and Dave knows how to work with her. No one questions her methods, and no one can hide from her.

How does she get the unsuspecting mayor to realize that he has spies working in his inner circle? It’s obvious he doesn’t know what he’s in for. The policeman who got killed, left a folder for Dave of what he was working on. This led to more people being pulled into the quagmire of complaints from the city. But Sammi is brought into meetings and parties that will have her mingling with the mob figures and listening intently for anything she can pick up. No one can hide from her, but sometime it takes time for her to get all of the information. Will it be soon enough this time?

She finds out the mayor and his wife are in danger. With a plot foiled in the past, the mob is upset that their time table is falling behind again and take desperate measures. They plan to assassinate the mayor and his wife as they leave for a reelection fundraiser. It will be a car bomb. Who can get them out of this predicament?

Surprisingly some people show up who were counted out a long time ago, but can they follow Sammi’s lead and save the mayor and his wife and ultimately the stronghold that is being created around the city of Scranton? Is there time enough to bring down this evil group?

Jeanne L. Drouillard graduated from Madonna University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business with minors in French, computers and Sign Language. Other recognized studies and experiences have included handwriting analysis, bible studies, love & logic parenting, attachment disorder and other adoptive issues, listening skills as well as various seminars in leadership, self-improvement and psychology. She has published many articles dealing with the positive side of human nature and emphasizes what can be accomplished with a strong belief system coupled with tenacity.

Her first book, Thinking Out Loud, was conceived because of her fascination with the world of thought and how it relates to our lives. Sammi Evans, her heroine, is in a unique position to study the inner and outer environment of people and to monitor their success and failure while relating it to their thought world.

The second book in her series of Sammi Evans mysteries, Your Thoughts Can Trap You, is in its completion stage. Being caught up in the inner thoughts of other people gives her a unique understanding and ability to grasp how feelings and thoughts affect our lives and the lives of others around us.

Jeanne L. Drouillard presently lives in Michigan, after being transplanted from Canada as a teenager. She’s experienced the wonderment of strong and deep roots of belonging as well as being the new kid on the block. She is thankful for all the thoughts and feelings she’s gathered along the way, as she draws on every one of them when she writes.
