Welcome to Braedyn Murphy’s life. She’s a typical—if shy—sophomore navigating the slings and arrows of high school life with her two best friends, Royal and Cassie. Then a new boy, Lucas, moves into the house next door, and Braedyn finds herself falling in love for the first time.
But Braedyn’s normal life comes crashing down around her ears when she learns she’s a descendent of Lilith, the mother of all demons - and that she might play a critical role in an ancient war between the Sons of Adam and the Daughters of Lilith. Turns out the right answers aren’t always clear or easy. And as for “good” and “evil” – it all depends on how you choose to act.
Inspired by the ancient Mesopotamian myths of Lilith and her offspring, Thrall explores first love, strong friendships, and taking on adult responsibilities against the backdrop of powerful supernatural forces and life-and-death stakes.

Solid read, well-plotted, with just a few instances where things are conveniently easy. No instalove, other than the succubus kind, thank goodness. Good first book. Will read more.
A great addition to the series! I received a free copy of the book in exchange for a fair review. Things are changing around Braedyn’s home: Terrance Clay, the leader of the Guard has arrived to personally take charge of the area and, with him comes a militaristic change in the nature of the people around her. Watched every moment of the day, and night, she must try to keep Clay’s suspicions down, while racing him to save her friends from a plot by Lilith’s followers. Keeping everything going is hard as Clay’s style of management is more, “Spare the rod and spoil the child,” and those who transgress are punished. To make matters worse, Lucas, her rock, has been mesmerized by Clay’s charm. Will Clay’s determination to win at any cost prove the best course, or will it lead to the return of Lilith? Read and find out.
There is no other way to start this review except with WOW! It rates well above 5 Stars. Braedyn, a young woman, raised by her single father is unknowingly approaching a defining moment in her life. Everything she knows to be true is falling apart. When she meets Lucas, the attraction is immediate and one she learns has limits, deadly limits. Braedyn’s character is amazingly strong. She shows great courage and loyalty to her father and even to those that have taken a stand against her. Thrall is a fascinating story full of emotion, surprises, twists, and turns. You better hold on because this author keeps you guessing. This is the first novel I have read from Ms. Quintenz, but it certainly won’t be the last.
