Overview

Alex Santorini puts his family first and foremost, and that's going to keep him behind the grill at the family restaurant for the rest of his life, especially if his Greek grandmother has anything to say about it. But when a local winery needs a chef to step in to cook for a celebrity wedding, Alex jumps at the opportunity to showcase his culinary skills...and a chance to get closer to the winery owner who has captivated – and refused – his attention.

Grace Donovan is in a bind and knows that the answer to all her problems is one sexy Greek chef who has everything she needs...and everything that scares the hell out of her. Raised in a series of ever-changing foster homes, Grace has spent her life using science and logic to surround herself with protective walls. With all his passion and intensity, Alex could burn those walls down and, like everyone else in her life, leave her broken and alone.

As Alex and Grace join forces to land the wedding of the year, they also launch a search for the mother of a three puppies abandoned at the winery...only to discover a shocking connection to Grace's own mother and her shadowy past. When the truth comes out, their romance faces its greatest test. Will Grace choose the family she's wanted her whole life...or the love she may never find again?

The Dogmothers – a brand new spinoff series by Roxanne St. Claire
In this new spin-off series from The Dogfather, there's laughter, love, heartache, hope, and happy endings in store when two polar opposite grandmothers team up to make matches and wreak a little havoc in Bitter Bark, North Carolina. Yiayia has the steel spine of a Greek warrior, and Gramma Finnie has the heart of an Irish poet. Together, along with two darling dachshunds, these Dogmothers won't stop until all nine of their grandchildren are hooked, hitched, and happy.

With nine full length novels planned, plus a holiday novella every year, readers are in for a treat that will take them through 2021! Fans of The Dogfather series will find the same level of emotional intensity, familiar family connections and characters, and, of course, an unforgettable dog at the very heart of every story. Just like The Dogfather, the covers of The Dogmothers were all photographed at Alaqua Animal Refuge in Florida using rescue dogs and local heroes, and a portion of the first month's sales of every book is donated to that amazing organization.

I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Alex and Grace’s amazing story in Three Dog Night by Roxanne St. Claire, book two in her Dogmother series. Take one hot and sexy chef, an orphan unsure where she is from, three lost puppies, wineries, weddings, famous singers, big loving families, finding a lost families and you have one a sweet, tender, often sad, and uplifting story about the search for and the meaning of family. Alex Santorini is warm, compassionate, sexy and oh so romantic. He is working as the chef in his late father’s Greek restaurant, but his heart longs to go out and create his own recipes. Grace Donovan is an orphan, passed from foster home to foster home and longs to know more about her family and why everyone seems to abandon her. After being disappointed so many times she built walls around her heart. These two were brought together by the wedding of Alex’s mom and Dogfather Daniel. Their budding relationship is strengthened after the discovery of three motherless puppies and a celebrity wedding in need of a chef. In her Dogfather and now Dogmother series Roxanne St. Claire has created a diverse group of characters that revolves around family; first an Irish family led by Granny Finnie, now joined with a boisterous Greek family led by Yiayia. The two grannies bolstered by the fact that they already have matched one couple are ready to do it again, but Alex questions their instincts that Grace should be matched to his twin, John. In typical St. Claire fashion, there is a bit of mystery woven so magically through this wonderful story of two people finding each other and through that connection, finding their true selves. Ms. St. Claire wrote a fun, flirty and amazing story that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with emotions, sexual chemistry, humor, and endearing characters giving Alex and Grace a chance at love, happiness, owning three puppies, and a future neither expected. I highly recommend Three Dog Night to other readers and look forward to the next book in this wonderful series. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

The Dogmothers are at it again, with matchmaking frenemies, Alex and Grace together. Grace owns the local winery and has a big chance for hosting a celebrity wedding but needs a chef. Alex steps in, with his love of cooking. As they work together they soon can not deny the chemistry that they share. Add in three stray puppies, there will be plenty of laughs and smiles through out the book. So, grab a glass of wine and start reading this wonderful heart felt story of finding love and family. I highly recommend this story!!

What a pleasure to come back to the world of the Kilcannon brood and their ever expanding family. This is the off-shoot series and second in line (and can be read as a standalone but why would you want to!) about Alex who has always wanted to own his own French restaurant but when his father becomes sick he returns home and takes over Santorini's, a Greek restaurant and basically gets back to his roots. In the previous book he meets Grace, the owner of the winery and they get closer in this one. She is searching for her roots and together they adopt and take care of three puppies. This story has a lot of sizzle and healing and so much fun and family I found I could not put it down. Definitely a keeper! **Received this ARC for review**

Oh, how I wish I could give more than 5 stars. This was a completely engrossing book with ups and downs, laughs and cries, but mostly the inability to put the book down to sleep or do anything else. Roxanne has truly done it again, and she's at the top of her game. Grace's story was compelling and surprising, and the link she felt with Braden made me melt. I love when a book is short on actual sex and long on romance and love. The air just sizzles between the two. And the dogs? Well, I have a wonderful and loveable mini-golden doodle, and now I want these three little puppies, too. Might have to think about another one. The personalities of the puppies were so cute and they rocked each scene. This was one book I was wishing would never end.

Alex Santorini always had a dream of opening his own French food style restaurant but when his dad fell sick, he instead came back home to help out at Santorini's, the family owned Greek restaurant. Alex has spent his whole life putting his Greek family's needs first instead of his own and now that his dad is gone he feels guilty if he were to start his own restaurant. At Alex's mom's recent wedding, he became very attracted to the owner of the winery, Grace Donovan and he has tried everything possible to get her attention. When Grace has the opportunity to be awarded the wedding of the year she finds herself in a bind because her chef just quit. Luckily, Alex is ready to jump right in and help. As Alex and Grace spend more time together, the sparks begin to fly. Alex quickly realizes that events from Grace's past have molded her into who she is today and he is trying everything in his power to help knock down the brick wall Grace has around her heart. It doesn't hurt that they are dealing with three adorable abandoned puppies and trying to find their mother. While trying to find the puppies mom, a shocking discovery of Grace's past is uncovered. It will take a huge leap of faith, a huge blended family and three adorable puppies for Grace and Alex to find their happy ending. I just adored this story. Grace is so damaged because of her past and all she really wants is someone to love her and never leave. It just so happens that Alex is that person...loyal, sexy and he can cook! Together these two make a wonderful couple but be prepared....it will be an emotional ride....but well worth the journey!

I am lovin the Dogmothers. This had all the emotions and the puppies! Grace is hard to get to know and Alex is trying everything to get her attention. She doesn't do relationships. She learned that lesson a long time ago. But Alex is relentless. She is afraid to trust and he will not stop until he breaks through her walls. Grace has always wanted a family like Alex's. She wonders what could have been but still won't open up herself to more hurt. The Dogmothers really thought she should be with John, but Alex knows better. He usually comes in second with everything his whole life, he wants to come in first in Grace's life. Can he do it?

This book had so many wonderful things going for it. The "Dogmothers" are matriarchs of their families--Jewish and Greek families that have been joined by marriage. There is a vinyard that is used as a wedding venue, lots of nosy caring family members, weddings, couples in love, a couple falling in love...and puppies! Grace has been searching for family most of her life and has an event that needs a chef. Alex has more family than he can shake a stick at and is a chef that needs something more challenging to cook for than his family's deli. The two could be a match made in heaven, but the Dogmothers want to match Grace with Alex's twin brother--not Alex. Are they destined to be together or are Grace and Alex the wrong pair? This is another great addition to the series. St. Claire's characters and plots and inclusion of dogs are all put together to create a book that won't soon be forgotten. Her heroes are swoon worthy and some of the most romantic out there. I was given a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

Every time I pick up one of Rocki’s books, I think that there’s no way I can like it better than any of her other masterpieces … but this one … THIS ONE! IS THE BEST BOOK EVER!!! I was so lost in this book, so connected to the characters and the story … I just didn’t want it to end! Even though I knew most of the characters, I just fell in love with them all over again! The characters that are new … I wanted to Google them, find a People magazine and check up on their lives, go on Amazon and download their newest album! I know we’ll get another Dogmother book, but I want a SEQUEL of THIS book!! An epilogue!?! A novella!?! The people, the dogs … THE PUPPIES!!!, the story. I can’t even tell you how fabulous this book is, you MUST read it! When a story … a book puts a stupid smile on your reader’s face, you know you’ve succeeded! Thank you Rocki!!

I had the pleasure of reading an ARC of Three Dog Night by Roxanne St. Claire fit an honest review. I can honestly tell you that I LOVED IT! It was an outstanding story and probably one of my favorites. Roxanne St. Claire has once again proved that she is an amazing author. I loved the characters, the setting, and everything else. Three Dog Night had me laughing, crying, happy, sad, excited and angry. It was truly a heart wrenching and heart warming story. It is the second book in the Dogmothers Series. Three Dog Night is the story of Alex Santorini, chef at Santorini’s and twin to John, and Grace Donovan, owner and Overlook Glen Vineyards, the location of Katie Santorini and Daniel Kilcannon’s wedding, and three puppies: Jack, Bitsy and Gertie, that Grace insist they be called. The Dogmothers, Agnes “Yiayia” Santorini and Finola “Gramma Fannie” Kilcannon, are at it once again. They are working to match Alex’s twin brother, John, with Grace, but Alex wants Grace for himself. Alex has always come in second to John, being the younger twin, but not this time. At first Grace is very wary of Alex and the sexy Greek chef who always speaks his mind and the big Santorini, Kilcannon, and Mahoney family. Grace is an orphan who grew up in the foster care system, with no family every loving her enough to keep her and adopt her. Unknowingly, Alex take part in one of Yiayia's matchmaking claims and returns to the vineyard in search of her purse. She wants to send John. but Alex, sees this as a great opportunity to see Grace again. With Alex's help, Grace is able to find some details about her past and her family. Alex and Grace's relationship continues to change as they plan for the possibility of holding a wedding and reception of superstar musicians. As their romance builds, a surprising development occurs regarding Grace's past. Now Grace must decide which she wants more, the family that she always dreamed about or true love with Alex. Three Dog Night is filled with bittersweet and poignant moments where you find yourself crying, lots of surprises, big family dinners, and of course her normal surprise plot twist. Roxanne St. Claire did not disappoint with Three Dog Night. If you love happily ever afters and big families, including a sexy Greek chef and beautiful vineyard owner, you will most definitely love Three Dog Night. I love how the book title and cover are both incorporated into the story so effortlessly.

Three Dog Night is a sweet, tender, often sad, and ultimately uplifting story about the search for and the meaning of family. Vintner, Grace, raised in the foster system has been disappointed so many times that she has built walls around her heart. Alex is working as the chef in his late father’s Greek restaurant, but his heart longs to go out and create his own recipes. Brought together by the wedding of Alex’s mom and Dogfather Daniel, their budding relationship is strengthened by the arrival of three motherless puppies and a celebrity wedding in need of a chef. In her Dogfather and now Dogmother series Roxanne St. Claire has created a diverse group of characters that revolves around family...first an Irish family led by Granny Finnie , now joined with a boisterous Greek family led by Yiayia. The two grannies bolstered by the fact that they already have matched one couple are ready to do it again, but are their instincts correct this time? This is a delightful read, and if it’s your introduction to the series, bet it won’t take you long to download the others. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book. Most highly recommend.

I am a fan of the Dogfather and Dogmothers series of stories by Roxanne St. Claire. I just finished reading her latest Dogmothers book called “Three Dog Night.” I have to say that it is my favorite out of both series. I absolutely love this book. Not only does it have all the characters from the two series like Daniel and Katie Kilcannon, Grammas Finnie and Yiayia, but it has puppies – lots of puppies. Alex, a trained French chef meets Grace at his mother’s wedding to Daniel Kilcannon. Grace is the owner of Overlook Glen Vineyards. Instant chemistry occurs, but Grace is hesitant because she has grown up in foster care her entire life and doesn’t know how to act around a large and carrying family. Throw in three lost puppies and search for her identity and this book is one you won’t be able to put down, especially if you are a fan of the series.

It's a showdown of the heart, Roxanne St. Claire style. Three Dog Night packs a ton of smiles with an adorable cast of furry friends, two meddling grandmothers and more than enough seismic energy to rock even the most stable of worlds. Alex and Grace are enemies with a passion for pushing each others buttons. When it seems as if fate keeps throwing them together, will that passion bubble into something more? The battle is on. The laughs are endless and the heart is real.
