The relations between the United States and the Middle East are "complicated" to put it mildly. And these complications touch the lives of many of us whether we like or not. Three Stories One Middle East tracks the lives of three individuals in three different countries in the summer of 2001 as they get caught in the complex web of the never ending Middle East conflicts.
Three Stories One Middle East consists of three interconnected stories that take place in Bahrain, Israel, West Bank, Pakistan and the United States, during June and July of 2001. The lead characters of these three stories come into contact with each other as their lives are influenced by the complex geopolitical conditions of the Middle East in those months.
In the first story a young American girl named Sarah that lives in Swarthmore (a suburb of Philadelphia,) suddenly goes missing and simultaneously a girl of same age in Pakistan claims to be her. She faces an uphill battle as her Pakistani parents and the American couple, whose daughter is missing, both reject her claim. Her struggle takes an unexpected turn as she gets caught in a shocking global event that originates in the Middle East.
In the second story an Israeli intelligence officer learns a dark and unsettling secret about his true ethnic origin that turns his life upside down. He begins a secret quest to identify his biological relatives while continuing to serve as an undercover agent in the West Bank. It is during his search for his relatives that he comes into contact with the lead characters of the other two stories.
In the third story the crown prince of a small oil kingdom in the Persian Gulf comes under the intellectual influence of a radical university professor. He challenges the foreign policy decisions of his father and puts his political future at risk.
