When Lily Jacobs was born, she inherited Fazire – a genie. Her family had three wishes and they’d only ever used one so Fazire was stuck in the human world. This worked since he’d become a member of the family anyway.

Even with a genie, Lily's young life wasn’t perfect. To escape the kids making her miserable at school, Lily buried herself in romance novels. One day, when the teasing was just too much, she used one of her wishes. She told Fazire she wanted to find a man like in her books and she made the most complicated wish Fazire had ever heard. Her wished-for man had to be impossibly handsome, virile, fierce, rugged and ruthless (amongst a dozen other things).

He also had to think she was beautiful and he had to love her more than anything in the world.
Nathaniel McAllister wasn’t born to a life where there were such things as genies granting wishes. His life was filled with drugs, crime and neglect. He was running errands for a gangster before he was in his teens and, even though life and hard work led him to wealth and respectability, he always knew, deep down, he was dirty. When Nate met Lily he knew he was no good for her but as virile, fierce, rugged and ruthless as he was, Nate was no match for the pull of sweet, innocent Lily.

Unfortunately, Lily’s wish included that she and her hero go through trials and tribulations to test their love. And Fazire wasn’t only a good genie, he loved Lily – so he gave her exactly what she wanted.

About the Author

Kristen Ashley grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana but has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write. Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched). Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up. And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

Read this book. This book is extraordinary, amazing, and magnificent, the kind of book that, when you pick it up to re-read it later, demands you re-read *every* sentence, not just the parts you like best. Read this book. There is no angst for the sake of angst. It's deeply emotional but not dark. The relationship between Lily and Nate is beautiful, and their overall story is doubly so. Read this book.

I was instantly captivated by this book. I read it (over a 1000 pages) in one day... I could not put it down. This book will make you happy, sad, cry, laugh and everything in between. I've read a few of K.A. books and ALL... I mean ALL of them have been amazing books!

I cried, laughed, got angry and was feeling completely content by the end of the book. Wonderful development, amazing storyline and just outstanding writing. I've read this book 5 times now - still makes me cry! I mean straight on hitching of the breath crying - don't read the end in public. Just saying.

I love Kristen Ashley's book (my all time favorite is the Golden Dynasty) but I have to say that this one is right along GD as well. I cried at parts because they were painfully accurate for some people out here in the world and the whole book was just... moving. Fazire and Tash were just the icing on the cake. Lily and Nate's story was an emotional rollercoaster, one you didn't want to get off from because you didn't want it to end. You actually want it to continue on for as long as you want.

5 “Wishes do come true” Stars I always forget how heartbreakingly beautiful this story is, and I’ve read it a bunch of times already. Three Wishes is one of those fantastic KA books that grabs you and won’t let you go until you’ve read the very last word. Fazire is a genie. After centuries of serving greedy and vengeful humans he finds a mistress whose only wish he simply can’t grant. Sarah only wants her husband back, but raising the dead is not possible, even for Fazire. This is how, for the very first time in Genie history, the wishes of one person get passed on to another. Decades pass and one wish later, Sarah’s granddaughter Lily, after one taunt at school too many, makes the second wish. Being an avid reader and a fantastic story teller, she asks for her perfect man with a mile long list of requisites, not only for his characteristics but how their relationship development should progress. Little did she know that Fazire would be so good at wish granting, or that the saying “be careful what you wish for” could be so true. When she asked for their love to go through “trials and tribulations” to deepen… well, she could never have imagined what she was in for. Years later, in another city in another continent, Nate had risen from the terrible circumstances of his early childhood. Coming from a more than checkered past, from the very first time he saw beautiful Lily, he knew he wasn’t worthy of her. He just couldn’t help himself. Insta love at its best, a whirlwind romance tragically ends after only two weeks, and it’ll be almost a decade before a seemingly serendipitous encounter will bring their destiny to fruition. Boy, does Ms. Ashley know how to take your heart and guts and twist them around! I get so invested in these characters, days later I still get choked up at what they had to go through. And even when the “I’m unworthy of my girl” trope is not one I’m particularly fond of, I still absolutely LOVE this story, in spite all my twisted innards. Lily is selfless, loving, and caring. Her open-heartedness and her incredible capacity for forgiveness is simply inspiring. Nate is one of those closed off, aloof brooding billionaires we all love. With a troubling childhood his stand-offish attitude is not unexpected. He has more than one a****e moment and he is so good at it you want to go at him with a two by four… then again, I was so gaga for him at the end I just forgave him as easily as Lily did. That said, I feel he should have groveled a little bit there that last time, but Lily true to her character received him with open arms almost immediately. Three Wishes is an amazing story about family, love and the power our own thoughts have over how we see things and ourselves. It’s a book that will give you all of the feels, has scorching hot sextivities, magic and great characters you can’t help but love (or hate in a couple of cases). I do recommend you read it with your Kleenex box in hand range as it will have you tearing up more than once.

The ONLY book of KA's I couldn't really chomp at the bit for. I did read it all the way through and still love her story telling talents...this one just didn't do it for me. But, for what it is, she did it great.

Lily Jacobs inherited Fazire the genie when she was born. Her family had three wishes, so far they have only used one. Until all three wishes were granted Fazire was stuck in the human world eventually becoming part of the family. Lily's life wasn't easy even with Fazire to make it so at the snap of his fingers. Lily retreated to romance novels and after one very bad day she asked Fazire of her wish....for a man like the ones in her books, impossibly handsome, virile, fierce, rugged, and ruthless...the list goes on. Nathaniel McAllister wasn't born to a life where everything was possible and easy. His life consisted of drugs, crime, neglect and if he wasn't fast enough a beating. Yet when he meets Lily everything he knew went out the window wanting to be worthy of her. What Nathaniel didn't know and Lily forgot was she also wished for trials and tribulations just like the ones in her books. And Fazire was nothing but the best and he loved his Lily so very much and gave her everything she asked for! I know this is by my Favorite Author KA but I was skeptical...I had never read anything about genies. Yet out of trust and faith in KA I read it and *fan-girl squeal* I loved it. Of course I balled like a baby at times and screamed at my tablet a lot, then I was grinning like an idiot too. I ran the full emotional gamut with this story. I couldn't help myself I pictured Fazire a little like the genie from Aladdin and he spoke like Robin Williams too :) This story was so beautiful I highly recommend it to everyone. Boy did Fazire make some excellent trials and tribulations tho am I right!

I’ve been reading arcs like crazy lately. I’ve gotten my list from 21 down to 11, but I needed a break. Enter Kristen Ashley with her standalone story Three Wishes. The Description of Three Wishes caught my attention and I decided to read this standalone rather than continue on the Colorado Mountain series (don’t worry I’ll get back to it), but it’s Halloween and something extra fantasy sounded fun. The storytelling in Three Wishes is different than how other Kristen Ashley books are written and it did take me a while to adjust to it, but once I did I was into the story. A lot of this story happens in the past and we have to bring readers up to the future before we can meet our current couple. As a reader you really need this back story so you can fully understand the relationship between Lily and her genie. Our hero, Nate was one heck of an alpha right from the start. I loved it, but you know how I love those fictional crazy men that jump right in. But boys, it’s only cool when it’s FICTION. :) But then the story takes a dramatic turn and I was left realing. The new plot direction isn’t bad it was just so sad, I almost cried. I felt so bad for our hero Nate and the heroine, Lily. I just wanted everything to be perfect for them. Why is life hard? Three Wishes was just a great crazy read. It had me so emotional I almost lost it many times while reading and you know I am not one to cry. I just couldn’t put the book down. The ending came and if I hadn’t been reading at some early morning hour I would have been yelling at Lily out loud. I couldn’t believe something that she does in the end, I wanted to shake my kindle and hope it shook some sense into her, but in the end everything ends up okay so I got over it. I thought Three Wishes was a good story. I liked how Nate was so sure of things and his take charge attitude. He was an alpha I could get behind. There were a few places when the story was a little crazy, okay it was mostly crazy, but come on we’re reading about a genie here, I think it’s allowed.

This, along with Golden Dynasty, is my favorite story by K.A.. Her men are always MEN, but with this one you actually feel that heartache, it physically hurts, which is the hallmark of a great story. And when Love makes the pain beautiful and it becomes an amazing throb? Simply put...astounding.

I've read several other books by this author, love the characters, love the sex scenes, but do find her a little wordy at times.  However, THIS book absolutely captured my heart!  I could not put it down (and it is a LONG book, so this was tough).  I had to continually keep reading until there was a place I wasn't in angst, terrified of the outcome, and feeling the characters would be safe until I could back to them.  Her heroines are tough and sassy, the males are always alpha and hunks, and the endings always leave a warm after glow.  Read it!

I am on my fourth read and I am still amazed.
