Overview

Threshold of Perception by Solitaire Parke

This work constitutes the second volume of the trilogy entitled - "The Larger World." As such, the bulk of the information is a more in depth look at the subject matter found within the first book - "Beyond the Astral Planes." The application, control, enlightenment, and explanation of the Alternate States of Reality, as well as the dangers and possibilities are topics that are included. These and other compelling issues are further expounded upon by showing the associations between the scientific and the philosophical aspects of both. Also covered are the theological overtones that are so important within the previously mentioned attributes.

I am glad to see this author's books now available on the larger market. I stumbled across him years ago on another site. This 2nd book is exactly as the summary states...takes a more in-depth look at the larger world of dreams and reality. He presents his material from a very scientific approach on a subject that is both spiritual and soulful. I highly recommend this series of books for those who are tired of reading only books of this topic that promote ominous and vagueness with no real tangibles. This series allows the reader to connect the dots on a concrete level and discover and appreciate the beauty of the world around us.

I read this book after having read Mr. Parkes’ 1st book in the series, Beyond the Astral Plane. I found that it was a more in depth look at the phenomenon known as OBE. I found the book to be informative and easy to comprehend. This book delves into the possibilities and reasons for pursuing an out of body experience. I like the fact that it focuses on cause and effect, rather than any form of mysticism. I recommend Threshold of Perception for the novice as well as anyone who has had some success with OBE’s.
