Suzy's a control freak and has her life mapped out - work hard, find a man with a stable job, and live happily ever after. She's content with the status quo, but her plan comes to a screeching halt when he enters her life and turns it upside down.

City gave up on love when his heart was crushed in college, preferring to be the typical bachelor. He spends his nights hopping from one bed to another and his days working at his family tattoo shop, Inked. A chance encounter on a dark road makes him question what he had sworn off forever – a relationship.

A night of passion and lust causes them to question everything. Is City the knight in shining armor to the damsel in distress? Can their relationship survive when a fantasy falls apart and a secret comes out that changes everything?

Some of the details really bothered me. The fact they kept mentioning about Suzy being OCD, yet there were no signs of that condition writen into her personality. Real victims of OCD do not behave or act the way she did. The other detail that irrated me was the way Suzy and her freind Sophia talked to each other. I am a young highschool teacher, and I can tell you although we d talk about some of the things they discussed, we never would use those terms they used especially at the school and expect to stay employed!

Wow! City is the complete package when it comes to an alpha bad boy. Suzy is the sweet, innocent "girl next door". City & Suzy's love story is sexy & sweet with a little suspense. Tne Gallo family is the BEST & this is a great start to the series!

Throttle Me is the first book in the Men of Inked series, and I have no idea why it took me so long to start this series. I have fell in love with the Gallo's, every last one of them and I cannot get enough. I guess I started backwards because I started with the Men of Inked Southside series which led me to start with the Men of Inked series. That being said, I loved Throttle Me, it is the story of Joey "City" Gallo and Suzy,"Sunshine" who meet on the side of the road due to her car breaking down. City is sexy, handsome, charming and fun, Suzy is a control freak, everything in her life is in order and all planned out. She feels drawn to City but there is no way they could work, right? I mean she is goody two shoes, she doesn't even curse and he is tattooed and rides a motorcycle. Guess it is true that opposites attract because these two people are total opposites, but boy are they attracted to one another. Loving this series and I am off to read book two, I told you I can't get enough!!

Suzy is an organized and studious math teacher who is content to date boring guys who never make her skin sparkle or her heart pound. She has an inner wild child that is dying to break out, but where could she possibly meet a hot and sexy guy who would sweep her off of her feet? On the side of the road, that’s where, when her car broke down and she was rescued by a mysterious stranger dressed all in black. Could she trust him? She wasn’t sure, but one look at his chiseled jaw and his intense blue eyes made her feel things she only read about in romance novels. Suzy has had her heartbroken many times which is why she has a hard time trusting most guys. Joey thought about not stopping to help Suzy, but even on his motorcycle he could tell she was hot and he really didn’t want to leave her stranded. He gave her a ride to the bar where he was meeting his friends and proceeded to get to know the beautiful and intriguing school teacher. He thought he would never fall in love again but from the moment he met Suzy, he wanted to claim her, protect and make her his. He liked her for her mind, her beauty and for her unpredictable nature. Joey is more confident about their connection than Suzy is and it is more than just sex for him. He wants to prove to her that he is worthy of her sweetness and love. Suzy needs to look past his sexy exterior to the man that is inside to understand what he is all about. “Throttle Me” is the first book in the Men of Inked Series and I am so glad I decided to read it. The romance between Suzy and Joey is filled with passion, understanding and pure devotion. I love the importance of family that is evident throughout the series and I can’t wait to read about the rest of the Gallo family.

City is a man after my heart. Ruff and rugged, ripped with tats and he road a Harley, Dammit the secrets he held just made him more interesting. Suzy although it is mentioned she's OCD I don't see it. Yeah she had a one track mind and she made list for everything including what her husband was like and how they would mesh in every way. Well things don't always go as planned and list. . . well they are made to be rewritten. Great story well written. I really like this author's style and while I have read a book she co-wrote this is the first I have read that was all hers. Sexy with a good story works well for me.

This is the first work I've ever read by this writer, and I liked it. While the formatting bothered me, making this book seem larger than it actually was, it kept me engaged and kept my finger swiping. I was disappointed in the lack of conflict or angst and scene transition not indicated by proper chapter breaks. I also felt the writer held back somewhat and bailed with the ending. A sweet HEA, but not enough to hook me into reading the rest in the series.
