Throttle Me by Chelle Bliss

Suzy's a control freak and has her life mapped out - work hard, find a man with a stable job, and live happily ever after. She's content with the status quo, but her plan comes to a screeching halt when he enters her life and turns it upside down.

City gave up on love when his heart was crushed in college, preferring to be the typical bachelor. He spends his nights hopping from one bed to another and his days working at his family tattoo shop, Inked. A chance encounter on a dark road makes him question what he had sworn off forever – a relationship.

A night of passion and lust causes them to question everything. Is City the knight in shining armor to the damsel in distress? Can their relationship survive when a fantasy falls apart and a secret comes out that changes everything?

This is the first book in the Men of Inked Series.

Some of the details really bothered me. The fact they kept mentioning about Suzy being OCD, yet there were no signs of that condition writen into her personality. Real victims of OCD do not behave or act the way she did. The other detail that irrated me was the way Suzy and her freind Sophia talked to each other. I am a young highschool teacher, and I can tell you although we d talk about some of the things they discussed, we never would use those terms they used especially at the school and expect to stay employed!

Wow! City is the complete package when it comes to an alpha bad boy. Suzy is the sweet, innocent "girl next door". City & Suzy's love story is sexy & sweet with a little suspense. Tne Gallo family is the BEST & this is a great start to the series!

This is the first work I've ever read by this writer, and I liked it. While the formatting bothered me, making this book seem larger than it actually was, it kept me engaged and kept my finger swiping. I was disappointed in the lack of conflict or angst and scene transition not indicated by proper chapter breaks. I also felt the writer held back somewhat and bailed with the ending. A sweet HEA, but not enough to hook me into reading the rest in the series.

For the most point I liked this story but have never figured out how someone thinks ripping someones clothes is hot or sexy. Suzie could have been stronger. Loved City. Rough guys that are really good guys are my favorite. Will probably read the other stories.

This book started out pretty good. Right around page 160 it kept skipping back 3 or 4 pages. I had to maually put in go to page 165 to read rest of book. It also skipped some pages in later chapter. That being said, it started out good, ended just ok. Didnt really care for the ending. Im not going to be reading the rest of the series.

Silly and juvenile. Could have been been good story but for language. Showed lack of imagination.

A rough and entertaining tale of apparent polar opposites being attracted to what their inner self needs to be whole. City (Joseph/Joey Gallo by birth) is a tough, crude spoken tattoo artist who rides to the rescue of sweet school teacher Suzy/Suzette when her car breaks down on the side of the road. Instant attraction supported by a whole lot of lust leads to each developing a new perspective that brings their seperated lives into the same same linear equation. The only significant thing I found missing was background on how City got his nickname, though I am guessing it is a road name given by his motorcycle riding friends based on a tattoo he has, but there may be other details of his wild youth that we are missing. This was a good begining for the series and a good introduction to the rest of the family and friends who will be in future stories.
