THROUGH THE ZOMBIE GLASS was exactly what I expected and more! I loved the drama and the fast-paced action that comes along with this series. I also nearly fell out of my chair due to all the yummy scenes between Cole and Ali. The storyline was hardcore and the characters were very well-developed. I look forward to reading more from Gena Showalter!!!

Well Gena did it again! Not many authors can make a sequel as good if not better then the first. I know some make disagree but I think the second book was better. You really learn more about  Ali and Cole's past.  You learn what drives Cole to act the way he does.  I felt like I was on an amazing roller coaster while reading this book, there was so many twist turns and even flips. I loved it!  Book 3 can not come fast enough!

Gena Showalter did not disappoint! Through The Zombie Glass starts up pretty close to where Alice In Zombieland left off. With every turn of the page there was excitement, suspense and of course the need to hit Cole on the back of the head and tell him to man up. If you loved Alice In Zombieland you will love Through The Zombie Glass. Buy it now!!

I absolutely loved this book. If possible, it was better than the first. I REALLY enjoyed them both. The characters are so fantastic, and I have to admit I have a soft spot for the bad boy, Cole Holland. (; At times, I was very upset during this book and angry with it. However, the plot was fantastic and I will be eagerly awaiting book 3, The Queen of the Zombie Hearts.

I have a very love, hate relationship with this book, as I seem to with all second books when it comes to trilogies they are always so frustrating. I still love it though and love how Gena uses pieces from Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking glass as chapter headings, very clever. Can't wait for the next book!

In Gena Showalter’s follow-up to Alice in Zombieland we find ourselves right where we left off. Ali is recovering and Cole and the gang are out hunting. The only problem is Ali begins to know that something is wrong. Ali is beginning to see things in mirrors and hear voices she shouldn’t. While Ali is dealing with these new problems she is also dealing with her grief over the many losses that have happened to her over the year. When her and Coles visions disappear and she begins to have them with a newcomer things get really bad for Ali. She not only has to deal with everything she has been going through but her relationship with both Cole and the rest of the hunters is in serious danger of falling apart. While Ali continues to fight zombies she also must fight the evil inside her. Can Ali pull herself together by herself or with she let those around her help her with her struggles? If Ali can survive this she will have scars she may never recover from unless let’s healing go soul deep. Through the Zombie Glass I could not put down. This is everything you want in a follow-up. It moves the story along, gives us conflict and answers enough questions to create more questions. I love this series even more by reading this book. Many times throughout this book I could feel those old teenage feelings coming back. Especially with Cole and Ali’s relationship. There were definitely times I wanted to both strangle and kiss Cole. There were a lot of times in this book my heart really broke for Ali. She really goes through a lot of trials in this book. Just when you think she’s getting accepted by those like her she is kicked out in the cold again. There are also a lot of surprises in this book both good and bad. I promise I am not gonna give much away but I can tell you this and enemy becomes a friend again. Overall, the character and story development was phenomenally strong and really propels everything in a forward direction. I will warn you all this though after reading this you will want the next book like yesterday. I know I got an advanced copy and still want the next book now. That’s just how great a story-teller Gena Showalter is. She has yet another wonderful edition and if you like me, loved Alice in Zombieland you will LOVE Through the Zombie Glass. This book was provided to me by the author for an honest review.

Ali and the other slayer, including her bad-boy boyfriend Cole Holland, are trying to take down Anima, but there is a kink in their plan when Ali is bitten... Her two heartbeats were beating very fast. Time is running out and she has to protect her fellow slayers at all costs, including taking her own life. These dark urges that can't be explained are changing her from the inside to the outside. There could be a possible antidote, but she would have to trust a stranger that worked for Anima. Cole has his own secrets and their visions together aren't them at all. A new slayer, Gavin, has been having "romantic" visions with Ali. That could break up Ali and Cole forever. Kat's condition is getting worse, but she's living life to the fullest. Will Ali and Cole break up? What is this new darkness awakened in Ali? This was my favorite out of the two books I've read, so far. I love the twists. And the romance. This book was funny, to me at least. I can't wait to read the third book, too. After I read the third book, I'm going to read the indie books these nice authors sent me. I can't wait!! There is mild cussing and inappropriate themes.

This book is actually book #1 with a different title, cover, and publication date. Book 1: Alice Through the Looking Glass with a publication date of 2013, is the SAME book as Book 2: Alice in Zombieland with a publication date of 2014. The third book picks up the story in the proper context and really is the second book in this trilogy, unless the author plans something more down the road. I do strongly encourage you read the series because, as with all Gena Showalter's books, the story line is entertaining. But you don't need to buy the same book twice.

I absolutely loved Alice in Zombieland so I had to read this one. I actually read Through the Zombie Glass immediately after reading the first one and realized I somehow didn’t write a review up for it so before moving on to The Queen of Zombie Hearts, I gave this one a re-read. White Light Throughout the entire book, Ali is faced with complex problem after harrowing issue after heartbreak after doom and gloom. I loved every minute of it! There was so much happening, and it was all bad news for our heroine. Alice in Zombieland ended with her getting horribly injured, so she starts Through the Zombie Glass in a hospital bed with stitches. Things only grow worse for her from there. I really liked the direction the story went. It was definitely a unique spin. A few new characters were introduced to stir up drama, but I enjoyed Gavin’s personality quite a bit. He’s just so unabashedly honest. Mackenzie and Trina became a couple of my favorite characters in this one and I couldn’t stand Mackenzie at all in the first book so I loved that character development. Kat, the Sass-Master, I continue to adore as well as Nana, Ali's adorable grandmother. I also enjoy that Emma keeps making appearances as a Witness. There is a lot of action, a lot of inner struggle, and a lot of guessing what will happen. There were times that I looked down to see how far into the book I was because surely I was at the climax of the story, only to realize I still had quite a bit more to go. Black Smudges Cole. Oh Cole. He exacerbated me quite a bit throughout this story with his hot-and-cold, incredibly mixed messages, and really bad decision making. An Ex Here, an Ex There It’s the whole 2nd book, introduce-the-relationship-drama thing going on in Through the Zombie Glass. There are literally exes everywhere. Veronica is brought in from Georgia who happens to be Cole’s ex. Mackenzie is still around who is also Cole’s ex as well as a lot of break ups and make ups going on throughout. The romance in this one is all over the map. Utter Madness I’m still loving this series. Through the Zombie Glass was a wild and fun ride through hardship after hardship. I really felt for Ali, but she kept going and giving her best no matter what. The characters are fantastic, and their dialogue is fun to read. There is tons of action and interesting concepts introduced. Absolutely recommended. Originally given 4 1/2 stars at JC's Book Haven.

Who doesn't love a good zombie story? Well the problem is most that are told are absolutely terrible. The only decent zombie movies/tv shows were Resident Evil (just the first one), Zombieland, and the Walking dead series. As for books, they ALL are terrible except this one. I love her approach with zombies and Alice and wonderland and kind of meshing the two together. The zombies and their rules are different than the only ones we have come to know in the aforementioned above. If you don't read the synopsis, but read the reviews first like i do to see the majority of popular opinion before you decide to read a sample is worth the time, then you'll most likely think, "zombies and Alice and wonderland? That doesn't sound very good" as you think of the childhood movie most of us grow up with but instead with zombies sitting at the Mad hatters tea party. But i absolutely promise you it's not like that at all . She merely uses symbols from alice and wonderland, such as the white rabbit, a madd hatter costume for a halloween party, the main characters name is Alice, etc. The characters are unique and completely different from the childhood story .Lots of action and fighting as well as a longing romance that you can only find in books. It is also very funny. The sarcastic, witty quips each character gives are awesome and making you wish you had friends just like them. It's an awesome series. I absolutely love it. It's creative. I feel the same about all the other books, I just didn't want to have to repost this review several times.

I like the new twist on Zombies. It's far from the norm. Not as good as the Slow Burn series, but close.
